If you want to put the reel to work loosen the drag or get the 1000 size reel(unless you’re not just going to use it for trout fishing) but 3000 size seems way too big for trout fishing. Great reel though! I have the 1000 size and it’s amazing and pairs great with Lamiglass rod 🔥 but Ugly Stik rods work just their design are revolting 🤮 😂 now I understand the name lol
