I have heard that the more you do to carrotts, the easier it is too get the nutrients that are bound tight in the fibers. I.e. pealing helps, shredding helps and steaming helps. Can anyone verify this for me. I love Niemi’s approach to healthy food balance. 😊

Hi Naomi -I love your channel-what drew me to this is I have a Swedish heritage so the was the hook❤️ but as I watched I really loved your enthusiasm for home making - I am 63 now but raised 3 boys with my husband of 34 years -now we live in the country on 23 acres and trying to live more simply. I’d love chickens-our property even has a nice coop- but there are coyotes in our parts so we don’t want to lure them in. Anyway, I love the channel and do buy many products that you recommend 🙂
You know after you harvest you mushrooms you can reuse all the stuff in the kit. U sanitize hay by boiling it...then let get cooled off, then all the mushroom stuff take a trash bag and I the bag mix the hay and the leftover mushroom kit... let all air out if the bags (do each mushroom in different bag of clean hay) hang these up and make SMALL X ASK OVER THE BAG ... MAYBE 8 DEPENDING ON BAG SIZE you will get tons more mushrooms... my instructions may be hard but you tube it and you will find the instructions lol❤❤

On your recommendation, I purchased the zwilling set and can’t thank you enough! I LOVE the glass containers. They keep my produce fresh for an extended amount of time and makes life so much easier. The bags on the other hand I’m not a fan of. I only tried one so far for some cucumbers, and several times I sealed it and each time it didn’t work. They rotted quickly. Maybe it was just a bad bag, but I haven’t had any issues with the containers. THANK YOU!!! ❤
