1:37 - years of long-distance running, early mornings, late nights, grit and determination, a New York Marathon, all leading up to this moment: a mad dash to the LAX sign.
Yes it was a very clear day, no smoke evident from the beach but my heart really goes out to everyone affected, such a horrific few weeks for LA and its residents.
You always have great content Stef. Love flying into LAX. Driving though is a different matter. Venice canals is such a cool place to walk around as is walking down to Santa Monica from there
Next time you're in LA, the SpaceX headquarters is just a few minutes away from LAX in Hawthorne, right beside HHR airport, and has the first controlled landing rocket booster out front ready for selfies. (If you happen to also be into aerospace too)
Oh you just brought back some great memories from August for me, seeing lax and Venice. If you are after good food and great Australian style coffee next time you are in Venice hit up Great White, the was our first coffee and meal and our when we landed and a few weeks later was our last decent coffee before we got to the qantas lounge after a couple days at Disney.
Great vid, a 9/ 10 for this one Stef! Full disclosure- I took a point from you because you didn't provide us a gratutious slo-mo Baywatch run along Venice Beach!
I’d tell you to have fun but it looks like you’re way ahead of me. Good. 🙂 L.A. is a neat town but I’ve always approached it like one of those 1950s Z-grade sci-fi/monster movies that are so bad they’re fun…
Stef!!! because you flew delta, did you ask the cabin crew or pilots for the delta trading cards, there really cool collectables and vent kinda viral on tiktok a while back!!
@@stef747 yeah thats must be annoying, i managed to get the 767, 757 and 737 cards but im sure the 717 cards will also become a popular memento too plus they have cool facts and stats unique to the aircraft type, anyways, looking forward to the japan video as well, plus it sure would be nice if delta or even american flew into MEL as we are the last major east coast city stuck with two airlines to the US🥲
Your outlook and attitude on life, even in the face of your past hardships, always manage to make my day better.
That's very kind, thanks Ben. Every day is a blessing.
My favourite part of this video is at the end in bed relaxing and enjoying a cuppa. Thanks Stef

Haha, yep, the training finally pays off.
Love these videos, thanks for sharing.
Cheers Graham
Putting your toes into the water at Venice beach always makes the day better.
The sky looked awfully clear considering the fires

I am the same with the beach - not really a beach person, but being near the ocean is magnificent. Both comforting and terrifying...
Thanks for sharing your experience at LAX Stef! I can't wait to get back there, its been a whole 15 months since I was there... LOL

Always appreciate coffee recommendations so I've tagged that one for next time, thanks Ben.
Nice Vid
Thanks

Climb that LAX sign like a redwood! HAHA

Adding that to the list for next visit... :)

I am so sad I've just learned about this. What's worse is I flew Delta twice in two days, so I had two missed opportunities. Gah.

Hot chips always work wonders
You should do a review of the JFK TWA hotel in NYC. That would be a bit of history about aviation.
That one's been on the list for a little while, I'd love to stay there for sure.
Next time you have a few hours to kill in LA, try Petersen Automotive Museum. Across the road is the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
Great suggestion, thanks. And I just saw they have a BTTF DeLorean there too, definitely would love to see that.
Stef youre wonderful if i had your up and go and incisiveness i would be better for it. Thankyou.😊
It's in there Francis, sometimes I have to really push myself to be curious and break out of my comfort cycle, you can do it too.
