Many of these were from those Friday night trips to Blockbuster. When the phone was quiet and no plans were coming up it was a Blockbuster weekend. Just walking the rows and scanning. Great times.
Ricohet is yet another example of classic 90s action that will never be duplicated and kudos to culkin for being such an exceptional child actor to both play a loveable sociapath and a despisable one too 😅. Great film selection
I don’t think you could do a movie like that today, there’s too many weird people that would probably attempt to copy Blake’s(John Lithgow)actions. It was a wild roller coaster of a film though.
Lucky for us Washington would test the action waters with this movie before going on to serious films. It isn't often you get an action movie like this with the two leads being such skilled actors. Seagal, Van Damme, Stallone, Arnold none of these guys could've pulled this roll off with the range Washington delivered.
@@guybeleeve movies like this won't exist today because where in a social media area. Simply movie plots for theater consumption isn't as viable, those of us in our late 30s and 40s are the last generation that value the golden era of movie and tv from the 70s thru early 2000s.
@@MoviesNeverSayDie obviously, once upon a time that's what the job required ACTING!!!! And to their credit all those action junkies worked at the craft to develop more comedic and dramatic range, especially stallone and even arnold they had god giving charisma and charm that naturally eveloved into better performances.
I certainly think Stallone, Arnold, and even Van Damme honed their acting craft over the years. I've been wanting to do a video talking about the current state of cinema and the social/economic/industry factors that have gotten us here. I was a press critic for several years and watched the changes come during my time in that field. We definitely are the last generation to cherish the moviegoing experience.
the closing argument that Matthew McConaughey gives in A Time To Kill gets me no matter how many times I watch this movie. I cry like I just lost my best friend.
It's really such a strong blend of great writing and acting. It hits the heart every time. I also miss the days when Jackson would character act. He's pretty much playing a caricature of himself in films these days.

So many great picks here - I have a huge soft spot for Distinguished Gentlemen and Fled. That movie was stuck in my DVD player for a month before I finally sprung for a new one. Watched it too many times!
Yes! The distinguished gentleman was hilarious. “Bringing dignity back to the name Dick”🤣. Unfortunately memoirs of an invisible man was part of the trifecta of movies that doused Chevy Chase’s career as leading funny man. First was nothing but trouble, memoirs, then cops and robbersons. 💀 watching those films as a kid was fantastic, but now as an adult they’re stupidly entertaining 😂.

I like your taste in movies. I thoroughly enjoyed Diggstown, although I remember it being titled as Midnight Sting when it was released in my country. I hope modern audiences will discover some of these gems.
Another fun episode as always love your picks nobody else is talking about these movies on TH-cam and it's lost classics that need some recognition opportunity knocks is a favorite from my tween years pity that Dana Carvey didn't do more movies clean slate is a good one and ricochet is definitely a favorite Russell Mulcahy did an amazing job on this movie and I love 90s John Lithgow he was the best actor for villainous roles I'll add cliffhanger to that list to
This is a great list. I've seen the majority of these films and many of them are definitely worth watching, and the ones I haven't seen I am going to check out. Namely Diggstown and Quick and the Dead.
The Adventures Of Ford Fairlane (1990) is a decent lost comedy that I watch at least once a year. One of those "Can't Be Made These Days" type of films.
My parents took me and my siblings to see Opportunity Knocks in the theater; looking back now, I see that the movie was a place for Dana Carvey to make all his popular impressions at the time. I would like to see how it aged over time.
It's definitely more dumb and silly as an adult compared to how hilarious I thought it was as a kid. But it pretty short so it doesn't wear out it's welcome.
Rarest lost 90's movies: Green Card, My Father The Hero, Curly Sue, Babe, Mouse Hunt, Rushmore, Zero Effect, Tank Girl, The Stupids, Joe Versus The Volcano, Fargo, Dead Again, The Firm, Lost Highway, Buffalo 66, The Age Of Innocence, Piano, Crash, Chungking Express, The Limey, Wag The Dog, Bowfinger, The Thomas Crowne Affair, Slums Of Beverly Hills, Enemy Of The State, Light Sleeper, Brassed Off, Hands On A Hard Body, Affliction, Philadelphia, Fire In The Sky, Backdraft, Boys Don't Cry, Heavenly Creatures, Teaching Mrs. Tingle, The Master Of Disguise, Clean Slate, Trapped In Paradise, I Stand Alone, Air Force One, Leaving Los Vegas, Only Yesterday, The Last Of The Mohicans, Dark City, Delicatessen, Eat Drink Man Woman, SLC PUNK, While You Where Sleeping, TESIS. Can you do U-Turn with Sean Penn for this 1990's series, please? if you're able. Thanks, bro! I am still on your volume 2 with it and it's excellent! Can't wait until Bad Influence.
I love Opportunity Knocks. It was cute and stupid. You cant go wrong with Robert Loggia. Here's a few I hope you cover: Nothing To Lose Dutch Shattered Dead Again Straight Talk Stepping Out True Romance Paulie Dont Tell Her It's Me Soap Dish Morher Malice Last of The Dog Men Timecop Color of Night Necessary Roughness
100% agree on Opportunity Knocks. Love these picks, a handful are on my lists for future episodes. I need to check out Paulie, for some reason that one isn't ringing a bell.
Gattaca (1997) You haven’t mentioned Gattaca in any of your videos! A great looking Sci-Fi starring Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke and Jude Law! Also Incognito (1997) starring Jason Patric as an art forger! Great little film that didn’t get a good shout on its release but is pretty solid and way better than anything these days!
It's some creator music I pulled from this site I signed up for. I loved how how it has a little 90s vibe to it so I thought it would fit. Thanks for watching!
I'm man I don't remember if you covered Senseless in the first 3 parts but if not I hope you do in the next few that movie was hilarious that and Dead Man On Campus and Money Talks
What did you think of Lithgow's character's little smart mouthed, ass kissing sidekick in Ricochet? He was one of my favorite things about the film! Hilarious performance. Love when he and Blake (Lithgow) walk into a freaky strip club/bar together and the sidekick starts talking a mile-a-minute, praising the "brilliant" way Blake set Styles (Washington) up, while Lithgow has a grumpy frown on his face LOL.
Haha yeah that club scene with Lithgow was fantastic. He just poured himself so nicely into villain roles back then. Definitely one of my favorite 80s villains.
Highly recommend a mention for future video while staying with the 90's trend of forgotten movies. Blown Away with Nicole Eggert and Corey Haim, an action thriller fantasy about a spoiled rich girl that goes on a bombing demolition killing spree by planting explosive devices in people's cars and motorcycles.
@@MoviesNeverSayDie well worth checking out - - your shows had a gr8 effect - got me looking for old movies again - do you like old fifties sixties stuff - touch of evil is my fave old movie - charlton heston gr8 stuff
You know I plan to get more into 50s/60s films but have been leaning more into 70s first. But I have seen many comedies and horror flicks from the classic era that I really enjoy.
i wouldnt call any of these obscure flicks though, those are all theatrical released movies w a marketing campaign, theres tons of movies where you really dig in deeper that are actual hiddengems , making a video spotlighting those would imo make more sense
I was a critic for many years up until just the beginning of this year and she's starting to make appearances in smaller films that I watched. I hope she can make another run as well.
What is your definition of 'Lost'? Most of these are available and even shown on the cable movie channels and regular TV. And they can be found streaming. So i would like to know what your definition of 'Lost' is. Do some research before you make a video like this, and actually delve into the whereabouts of these films and see if they exist on DVD or Blu-Ray or wether they can be found on streaming platforms.

Love these video bro, golden content, finding alot of hidden gems from you. Keep it up.
I appreciate that thank you!
The Quick and the Dead, the unofficial 4th entry in Raimi's Evil Dead series 😂
also Posse and Bad Girls
I like your taste in movies. I thoroughly enjoyed Diggstown, although I remember it being titled as Midnight Sting when it was released in my country. I hope modern audiences will discover some of these gems.
Oh yeah I forgot it was called Midnight Sting internationally, I kinda like that title better. Thanks for watching I appreciate it!
Diggstown is an amazing movie. One of my favorites, to this day.
Its a great little gem. Love the pairing of Gossett and Woods and Dern tossed in only makes it better.
Saw Arlington Road in theater and was blown away (no puns intended)
Just rewatched a few months ago and it holds up 100%
Yeah I hadn't watched it in maybe 5-7 years before this video and it had me locked in like it was the first time.
I typed Diggstown!!!damn spell check!!😂the ref in movie couldn't say the number #6 correctly!!!😅🤣🤣loved it!!!💯
Another fun episode as always love your picks nobody else is talking about these movies on TH-cam and it's lost classics that need some recognition opportunity knocks is a favorite from my tween years pity that Dana Carvey didn't do more movies clean slate is a good one and ricochet is definitely a favorite Russell Mulcahy did an amazing job on this movie and I love 90s John Lithgow he was the best actor for villainous roles I'll add cliffhanger to that list to
Thanks dude I always try to do my own thing on TH-cam so i appreciate that. I recommend Raising Cain too Lithgow was great in that one.
@@MoviesNeverSayDie I own raising Cain on DVD it's a good de Palma movie that nobody ever talks about
Hell yes ! Thanks !!! I m stock at work I need that !
Nice! Happy to assist with some "on the clock" entertainment! The best time!
Digestion was great!!!hearing the ref struggled to say the number #6???!!!
😂😂😂yeah
"SIXXXTHHHZZZ"""😂😂😂
I typed Diggstown!!!damn spell check!!!😂😂😂
Haha he was hilarious!
It happens! In this section of the video I say the chemistry between Gossett and Jr was great? Opps.
This is a great list. I've seen the majority of these films and many of them are definitely worth watching, and the ones I haven't seen I am going to check out. Namely Diggstown and Quick and the Dead.
Thanks for watching! Both are a couple of solid films I how you dig them.
@@MoviesNeverSayDie wonder if they’re available on streaming anywhere?
Pretty sure Diggstown is on Tubi and Quick and the Dead is on Netflix.
@@MoviesNeverSayDie really ? I need to check that out ASAP
great list !!!!
i"ve seen most of them
Thanks for watching! 🤙🏻
Great work
Thanks for watching! 🤙🏻
The Adventures Of Ford Fairlane (1990) is a decent lost comedy that I watch at least once a year. One of those "Can't Be Made These Days" type of films.
I love that movie
Awesome movie! Andrew Dice Clay!
Digestion was called midnight sting in the UK. Love this film.
I love Midnight Sting - great titles.
Saw Diggstown in the thumbnail, had to watch. "Never con a con-man"
Quick and the dead is 🔥
💯
My parents took me and my siblings to see Opportunity Knocks in the theater; looking back now, I see that the movie was a place for Dana Carvey to make all his popular impressions at the time. I would like to see how it aged over time.
It's definitely more dumb and silly as an adult compared to how hilarious I thought it was as a kid. But it pretty short so it doesn't wear out it's welcome.
Clean slate is better than opportunity knocks
I would agree there, I was curious on how remembered it was but I think Clean Slate could make the list too. Wish Carvey did more movies.

Great call on Grifters! I love that movie and haven't see it in years!
Can you do U-Turn with Sean Penn for this 1990's series, please? if you're able. Thanks, bro! I am still on your volume 2 with it and it's excellent! Can't wait until Bad Influence.
Oh yeah U-Turn! Great pick! I need to get that one in for sure.
I recommend Alington Road to everyone!
Definitely!
I love Opportunity Knocks. It was cute and stupid. You cant go wrong with Robert Loggia.
Here's a few I hope you cover:
Nothing To Lose
Dutch
Shattered
Dead Again
Straight Talk
Stepping Out
True Romance
Paulie
Dont Tell Her It's Me
Soap Dish
Morher
Malice
Last of The Dog Men
Timecop
Color of Night
Necessary Roughness
100% agree on Opportunity Knocks. Love these picks, a handful are on my lists for future episodes. I need to check out Paulie, for some reason that one isn't ringing a bell.
Gattaca (1997) You haven’t mentioned Gattaca in any of your videos! A great looking Sci-Fi starring Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke and Jude Law! Also Incognito (1997) starring Jason Patric as an art forger! Great little film that didn’t get a good shout on its release but is pretty solid and way better than anything these days!
I definitely need to get Gattaca in this series somewhere. I need to check out Incognito, don't think I've seen that one.
What is your opening theme music? I love it. About 30-40 seconds into this video
Haha Senseless is a funny one, I haven't covered it yet. But I did get Dead Man and Money Talks in already. Thanks for watching!
@@MoviesNeverSayDie hell yeah I love all 80s and 90s movies and all your content what about D.C. Cab
Love DC Cab I had that movie in my forgotten 80s series! Truly one of a kind!
@@MoviesNeverSayDie hell yeah lol when Gary Busey said the cops were lacing the bullets with angel dust
🤣🤣
I'll be honest - I loved that movie as a kids and really only remembered the sex scenes until you broke the plot down. Haha!
Ricochet is way underrated! Great movie
100%
Ive prob seen A Time to Kill 20+ times
Great movie
💯
do you know FAST MONEY (1996) with Yancy Butler? quite solid low budget action film
Thank isn't ringing a bell but I love Yancy Butler. Thanks for the recommendation I need to track this one down and get on my watchlist.
@@MoviesNeverSayDie it's on YT in full
Even better! Thanks for the heads up on that!
James Woods made another great film a year before called The Hard Way co starring Michael J Fox.
One of my all-time favorites. The Hard Way is a blast!
River Wild is a classic nail biter
Totally is, we just rewatched it a couple weeks ago and it holds up so well.
Can anyone tell me the name of the movie with the guy sitting on the bike in the intro?
Cool as Ice, starring Vanilla Ice.
Did you just call Diggstown a sports comedy? lol
Good video regardless.
Haha yeah it's no Major League but I laugh my ass off with Diggstown and it has enough boxing for it to count.
Much appreciated!
white sands / a row of crows /one false move
One False Movie is one I need to check out.
PCU needed on future episode
Oh yeah, great mention!
i wouldnt call any of these obscure flicks though, those are all theatrical released movies w a marketing campaign, theres tons of movies where you really dig in deeper that are actual hiddengems , making a video spotlighting those would imo make more sense
A thousand pardons sir.
Excess baggage was okay , I saw it because I loved Alice in clueless and the crush . she is a good actress I don't know why she doesn't act anymore?
Yea she did pretty much leave the business for several years.
@@MoviesNeverSayDie i hope she makes a comeback
I was a critic for many years up until just the beginning of this year and she's starting to make appearances in smaller films that I watched. I hope she can make another run as well.
What is your definition of 'Lost'? Most of these are available and even shown on the cable movie channels and regular TV. And they can be found streaming. So i would like to know what your definition of 'Lost' is. Do some research before you make a video like this, and actually delve into the whereabouts of these films and see if they exist on DVD or Blu-Ray or wether they can be found on streaming platforms.
The ref was martial artist benny urquidez stuntman and so no wonder why after guy he disqualified rocked him w/a haymaker yet he got back up and finished being best non biased ref ever but still struggled saying the number #6!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Benny Urquidez is such a legend!
Saw Diggstown in the theater as a 9 year and remember loving it
