@farndurk ive led plenty of sportbike group rides on an old virago 750 I had, so trust me I know. lol but just to make a point, you make it seem .as if all sportbikes come with all the electronics and that they essentially ride the bike for you.
How funny, that's funny, you're funny. It takes an entirely different skillset to ride one of these quickly than it does a sportbike. No ABS, no traction control or other electronics making decisions and corrections for the rider. 100% manual. I can have more fun and more thrills on one of these at 2/3rds the speed of a modern sportbike, speed is just a number (I've raced since 1972 btw). These bikes are a MAJOR RUSH to ride at speed with their heavy weight and welded tube steel frames.
@oldsport500 Yes, It is an antenna to avoid kite strings from childreen playing on street.. it is very common to get hurt with this things here...THANKS!
great video! What is the black rod across the handlebars? It looks like an antenna. I posted this video in XR1200 Pirates on FB and others were asking the same thing.
Is that the stock gearing? I was thinking of putting a sprocket on my xr1200x so i can get some more top end. I think id be happy if i could hit 140-160.
Caraca! Brother, to loco pra pegar uma dessas, tenho uma Bandit 1250n e devido aos roubos de motos na região onde moro, to pensando em pegar uma xr1200x, meu medo é do jeito q eu ando será q ela aguenta? Não entendo nada de harleys então me dá uma luz. Abraço e parabéns pela pilotagem
Meu caro, o cara do vídeo manda muito, tenho uma XR1200X também e já andei na bandit 1250, inclusive eu ando com a galera que tem 4 bandits, e posso te dizer o seguinte, você não consegue acompanhar a Bandit, a bandit anda muito mais, já fiz os testes tanto na estrada como em circuito fechado, você só os acompanhar numa faixa de 0-100km/h a partir daí, tchau.... a final da XR em retas dá 190 e poucos, sofrendo (falando da versão stock e sem modificações). Se quer moto de final, pode desistir.
Tu engole muito bem as curvas, ainda mais se tratando de uma pesadona dessas, e... andando com superesportivas, fez dos demais pilotos paracerem pateticos. Não sei se os pilotos estavam cansados ou se era medo. Pena que essa moto n ta preparada.

Nice Video! I was wondering about this XR braking. Have you change or do something with the bike braking system?

Just remove the slip, put a K&N filter, and use the best gas you can, or add a injection remap.. You will transfer the power to upper rpms...

it takes skill to keep up on a harley with an obvious performance disadvantage no doubt. wont argue there.
