Haha father and son hunting at it's best!! "DAD! WHY DID YOU DO THAT?" "Son, I told you when to do what, I can't do it all for you" LOL Fun to watch and a lot of good lessons there.
Boy!!! That was up close and personal. Everything worked out except getting the shot. Glad you didn't try to force the shot, that shows a lot of discipline on your part Isaac.
What an awesome bull!!! And what a hard lesson. I'm with Corey, get that pin on him and take a chance, once the gig is up. Props for not taking a crap shot.
Great Bull Corey, Isaac learned a lot there having that bull get away, more experience like you said there would have paid off… Isaac learned a priceless lesson!!!
Nothing like hunting with Your Dad and cameraman John ,What a Blessing to have all this action in God's Great Outdoors. Thank so much for sharing God's Blessings on all your adventures
Wow, what a bull, and what an experience!! Can't believe how wide he was and the length. That was hard on us as well, and we weren't even there. Great job you guys, nobody had a black eye
Heart breaking but ethical corey superb calling and the pressure being your son …..im a father i know whats up my brother you guys are my favorite team love from Denver Colorado
You guys are having an awesome hunt of unforgettable experiences! Sorry you couldn't seal the deal on this episode, but that's what I like about your channel... you keep it real. Keep up the great work!!
You could go a life time and not have a chance on that kind of bull. What a great experience for you. In my opinion you did everything right. You showed a lot of maturity than some experienced bow hunters don’t have. Great job bud.
It is good to see the failure and work that goes in to finding elk, the wins and losses! It’s keeping true hunting real. We all have been there I think if you hunt any length of time at all. Should’ve could’ve would’ve! Lol Thanks
A great lesson to learn. I had a giant...probably 380 mark at 5 steps, while kneeling behind a bush... no shot... should have stood up and plugged him! Lesson learned! I also watched a giant I called in for a buddy, who was standing behind a tree... Lesson learned! 😢 note for Cory... it looks like there was some nock pinch from the d loop...
No matter how many bulls you shoot in your journey Isaac, you will certainly remember that giant bull on that day with your Dad. What a hunt! The memory will always be more valuable than the kill. Thanks for sharing the story.
I was right there with “Shoot….. Shoot…….Shoot! Why hasn’t he shot? You guys will forever have that moment to think back on and laugh about. There’s not many things greater than experiencing these moments with your family.
Getting that big bull in that close would have my heart in my throat! Was really hoping you connected on him. Complete admiration for Corey’s patience and expert calling / communication with the elk. Also I will be stealing his 3 frantic chirps tip for communicating with my elk partner
Been watching out for this bull since it’s in the trailer. Was praying Isaac stuck him. Outstanding job on the control of not just flinging an arrow. After trying to draw the 2nd time, looked like you were struggling from holding for so long. It’s rough but hoping for another big bull encounter!
What an intense situation! So cool to watch the bull come right in. I could feel the tension build between father and son as the bull trotted off, but it was a great learning experience! Thanks for sharing, I look forward to more episodes!
Impressed Isaac didn't fling an arrow, good self-control. That one will be relived a long time. Though i don't know that i could re-watch that for awhile. Good Job guys
Lot's of pressure on a young man trying to get it done. Hats off that he had the sense to let down with the bull at 50yrds, rather than rush it. He got educated, and future bulls will be in trouble, in the same situation. Fun watching your adventure...
Awesome action on the mountain 🏔️ but a heartbreaking 💔 lesson for sure. Would be an epic heart pounding 💗 experience either way and I appreciate not taking a bad ill advised shot.
My heart hurts! What amazing bulls! So glad we got to see that on video. That's hard to put out to the public, but thank you because we have all been in those tough situations. Helps a little knowing we aren't alone in our hunting struggles! Sure hope you catch up to him again! You guys have put in the work. I'm excited to see your reward!
I think he forgot who Cory Jacobson was for a moment. Dad for one but also a professional elk hunter. Last year I was setting up on a bull and I remembered Cory saying never get behind a tree get in front of it. He was right and that advice brought me success.
Lol. Cant imagine the pressure of hunting with that dad lol. Stuff happens. I love the reminder of what three cow calls mean…..and the long blink from son. Too funny
It was so frustrating to see Isaac's juice pack almost falling out of his half zipped pack! 😆Other than that, what an awesome experience and video. Hope I can share something like that with my son one day. Thanks for sharing!
I couldn't believe that it sounds like me and my Dad out there lol Really hope u get him tomorrow!!! I was so fired up when that Bull came it HOW WIDE he was and giant I couldn't even imagine how amazing of an experience that would of been with him bugling at 18 yards!!! Thank you for taking us along im sure the pressure is real with camera and ur dad and elk that size!!! YOU GOT THIS KEEP IT UP GOOD JOB!!!!
that WIDE load bull came in, i held on my breath and was hoping something would happen, and that's okay, we all makes mistake but we learn from it! keep your chin up!
Two compliments.. Thanks for not showing a post hunt pic as click bait. I enjoy it so much more when i dont know if you are going to be successful. Secondly, thank you for keeping the audio real. Some other channels always have dramatic, intense music come on as they are stalking.... not every episode needs to be an epic Academy Award nominee.. i have hunted elk for 30 years and have yet to ever hear music as i am stalking a bull. Keep up the good work Guys... PS.. need more dad jokes during the hunt..
Yeah, that’d definitely make you want to say some choice words! What were you thinking?!!!🤣 Seems like those huge bulls give you one opportunity and then they are gone for good. That one will sting awhile.
I would bet that the bull was putting himself between you and the cows rather than walk straight through. Heart break for sure. Always setup in front of brush, never kneel, two things I’ve always lived by. Had a bull come into us once while hiking down the trail. He stood at 15 yards, 3 hunters and only 1 guy was able to get a clear shot.
I had a bad one like that this season. Working the calls for cows and had some talking nocked an arrow and started to move down into plane a bit partner and I got separated and I waited and paused heard something coming in saw the cow peeking its head out the tree line and started to move up towards me just under 20 yards in front of me and perfect broadside staring right at me waited for the head to turn away to draw and it did went to draw and I hadn’t checked my arrow to make sure it was solidly nocked still after moving around and then went to draw my arrow just dropped to ground and clanged off a rock she looked right at my and I was sitting there full draw no arrow with a perfect shot then she eventually took off it was heart breaking but my partner ended up getting the shot on her so a success for someone at least. Will never make that mistake again just gotta keep going and learn from our mistakes
Some sort of full capture rest would have made a huge difference. I missed a chance at the biggest whitetail I've ever seen because my arrow came off the rest. Great footage! I heard your dad in you Corey. Lol
I had my Indiana buddies come to elk hunt with me I Idaho. They're very experienced archers on whitetail. I got a bull to bugle and everyone took their preassigned places. I watched as my dear friend took cover behind a large spruce. I had told him to get in front of that tree and step back against it for cover. I watched in horror as the bull came out 10 yards from where I told him to stand (in front of the tree)!!! We argued for 3 days that he was behind the tree........he went home with only crow.........and lots of laughs!!!! I'll never forget him saying, "I had no way to shoot through that tree"!!!! Lolololololololololol
Well... that was a heck of a day... every time I watch one of the setups not work, I keep that mental file for when it is my turn. Just always hard to know just where to be. Surprising just how many shot opportunities can actually happen when one comes in if you don't give up to early. I have definitely been guilty of that...
Haha father and son hunting at it's best!! "DAD! WHY DID YOU DO THAT?" "Son, I told you when to do what, I can't do it all for you" LOL Fun to watch and a lot of good lessons there.
Dad should be behind his son letting the shooter lead and caller beside...problem with your guide in front of shooter
Boy!!! That was up close and personal. Everything worked out except getting the shot. Glad you didn't try to force the shot, that shows a lot of discipline on your part Isaac.
Your a good dad Corey a very good dad God bless
What an awesome bull!!! And what a hard lesson. I'm with Corey, get that pin on him and take a chance, once the gig is up. Props for not taking a crap shot.
A good reminder that even in a premium area with lots of bulls, putting a tag on one is hard. Super exciting and thanks for sharing.
Great Bull Corey, Isaac learned a lot there having that bull get away, more experience like you said there would have paid off… Isaac learned a priceless lesson!!!
Corey was patient and such a great caller to bring that big bull right in that close.
I was dying! I was like, shoot, shoot!
Nothing like hunting with Your Dad and cameraman John ,What a Blessing to have all this action in God's Great Outdoors. Thank so much for sharing
God's Blessings on all your adventures
Wow, what a bull, and what an experience!! Can't believe how wide he was and the length. That was hard on us as well, and we weren't even there. Great job you guys, nobody had a black eye
The father son criticism cracks me up but love it!
He's s still out there Isaac. Go get him. How exciting.
What a heartbreak. Keep your chin up Isaac. Dad can sometimes make it look easy but it’s a brutally hard sport. You’ll get him.
This one shows how great of a caller Corey is. Patience and worked that big bull right in.
Heart breaking but ethical corey superb calling and the pressure being your son …..im a father i know whats up my brother you guys are my favorite team love from Denver Colorado
What a great encounter, keep your head up, most hunters go weeks without even a chance at full draw
Man, what a bull. The one that got away. 😂 we’ve all had those ones. Keep your head up
Holy smokes that was a tank!!! What a heartbreak watchin him walk away, a memory they'll never forget!!!!
Wow. Dang... sometimes we learn the hard way.
You guys are having an awesome hunt of unforgettable experiences! Sorry you couldn't seal the deal on this episode, but that's what I like about your channel... you keep it real. Keep up the great work!!
I was absolutely sick for you. What a giant. It brought out the dad in me...😂 I was doing the same as Corey "frontal, frontal"...
Lol Thanks
Great video thanks for sharing, beautiful bull , I hope you have an other encounter with the bull tomorrow ,, good luck daddy and son !
Been there done that. Keep grinding guys y'all are right in amongst em. Can't wait to see what Isaac shoots on the next episode.
That was an awesome encounter! I’d say keep grinding Issac but this hunt is no grind! Dad, the Elk parking attendant, will put one in the right spot!
This really showed Corey’s patience and expertise calling.

Holy bull. That would have been a dandy to bring home. Good action today. Bigger and better things will come.
Big lesson learned! Super heart stopper!! What a bruiser bull!!! Thanks and best...pops
Heartbreaking I know, been there. Great film guys!
I’ve had many heated moments like that with my son. Glad I’m not alone. 😂
That was some of the best close up elk footage I’ve seen. Great choices and the giant lives another day.
We’ve been waiting to see that bull!! He was beautiful!
Great vid, guys! What a great episode!
Man that was a hum dinger of an elk!! Sad it didn't happen, but glad you didn't take a bad shot... Next time
That was a awesome bull. Good job calling him in.
Another amazing episode. Humbling for sure keep it up!!
Crazy bull, hopefully next video is you "catching" him!
Love the show Corey this reminds me of my boys and I.😂😂
Tough to slip in quiet with dozens of eyes on you. Great job not taking a bad shot!
Beautiful bull. You'll get him be patient
😲That killed me to watch that bull so close with no shot opportunity !
Always great to see you hunting with your kids❤
Lol I felt that frustration. Hunting with your dad can bring out the emotions in a hurry. Memories you never forget.
Been watching out for this bull since it’s in the trailer. Was praying Isaac stuck him. Outstanding job on the control of not just flinging an arrow. After trying to draw the 2nd time, looked like you were struggling from holding for so long. It’s rough but hoping for another big bull encounter!
Dang, that was a sweet bull!
What an incredible hunt, what a heartbreaking moment, but an incredible lesson was learned. You got this Isaac, you will get him.
What an awesome encounter!! Just to get that close and hear them bugle in your face , is a WIN , in my book!! Beautiful Bull!
What an intense situation! So cool to watch the bull come right in. I could feel the tension build between father and son as the bull trotted off, but it was a great learning experience! Thanks for sharing, I look forward to more episodes!
Dang the love of hunting and chasing elk can't beat that you ain't hunting if you ain't got a story about the one that got away hahaha good job guys
Live and Learn Isaac....I'm with you though- I never heard your dad blow 3 sets of 3 rapid cow calls...lol
Impressed Isaac didn't fling an arrow, good self-control. That one will be relived a long time. Though i don't know that i could re-watch that for awhile. Good Job guys

Man that bull was wide!!! My heart was pumping could imagine what Issac’s heart was doing!
Nice 360 bull
incredible encounter
Great work gentlemen 🤙🏽🏹🙏🏽
My heart hurts! What amazing bulls! So glad we got to see that on video. That's hard to put out to the public, but thank you because we have all been in those tough situations. Yup we’ve all been there. Hindsight is what we learn from
I think he forgot who Cory Jacobson was for a moment. Dad for one but also a professional elk hunter. Last year I was setting up on a bull and I remembered Cory saying never get behind a tree get in front of it. He was right and that advice brought me success.

Looks like death marches my dad use to put me through!😂
It was so frustrating to see Isaac's juice pack almost falling out of his half zipped pack! 😆Other than that, what an awesome experience and video. Hope I can share something like that with my son one day. Thanks for sharing!
What a hunt. Up close and personal. Great job of calling that bull in Corey for Isaac. I feel for ya Isaac.
beautiful bull. tough lesson.
To have a giant like that right in your lap and not get a shot is absolutely hart braking. Sometimes it's just not meant to be. Keep swinging!!!
Yeah that's about as close as you'll see that big of a bull once in a rare opportunity.!
Awesome opportunity on a great bull! Lots to learn from that encounter for sure.
What a cool bull! I thought you had him but elk will be elk. Go get him tomorrow!
Bummer!! That was dandy bull!! Go get them tomorrow!
Oh gosh.. I'm glad the painful rub in is painful lol 😆
Noticed your arrow fell off the rest on that second draw also. Nice bull. Thanks guys.
I kept saying shoot…. What an encounter!
Great camera man also hopefully we get to see him bag a bull soon
that WIDE load bull came in, i held on my breath and was hoping something would happen, and that's okay, we all makes mistake but we learn from it! keep your chin up!
My jaw hit the floor when I saw how wide that thing was!
Ouch! It's tough to have such a great bull so close and not to be able to send one.
That's just painful to watch!
As always, great content.
Thank you!
Some tense Moments ! great bull, I think I would have taken the Frontal shot. Memories that will last a lifetime!! God Bless!!
So close! Game of inches for sure
Tough way to learn, but that's one you'll never forget and will drive you to be better in the future.
Only one word can describe that one ouch!!!
Two compliments..

The only music I hear when closing in on elk is my heart beating in my ears lol
That's a big ol bull!
Man what a heartbreaker! Giant bull. Live and learn
Awesome experience with your dad and a great bull👍🏼

As good as it gets without shooting one. Great footage. Hard lessons learned. But the best days of your life.
Good video man that bull was massive. Live and you learn
Congrats Corey on raising a very likable young man. I hope to see him on future episodes. Missing Donnie though!

That’s what make archery so heartbreaking and rewarding when it works.

That was a heartbreaker but very exciting.
Got to love the lessons learned!
Good lesson learned , for sure a nice bull. Still fun to watch. Thanks to the sponsors, Peax’s Yeti, RMEF,MT Ops
