Visited Crossbones last year and it is an amazing place for so many reasons. The love and care for the graves and the memories was obvious. I do hope that it can remain in situ for many decades. Many thanks for this wonderful episode, it complimented my knowledge from my visit.

Great episode!
I was born and bred in Newcastle upon Tyne during the ‘50s.
I lived there until the early ‘80s. Then I moved to Australia and have lived in and around Canberra ever since.
Despite the distance from London, I often referred to prison as “the clink”. No one else in my immediate family seem to do this , I’ve no idea why it has become embedded in my brain. History and the history of language are amazing.
