Made in Malaysia | This could solve waste management and keep Malaysia clean

  • Ever wondered if there was a better way to manage our solid waste other than sending it to the landfill?
Roland Tee a retired auditor came up with the solution by inventing The Asher, a machine that turns almost all kinds of garbage you put into it to ash.
The Asher does's burn waste like a conventional incinerator, instead it bakes the trash in high heat thus turning them into ash.
The ashes can later be used as fertiliser or mixed with other materials to make sand bricks.
Although it does create toxic emissions Tee, who has spent most of his life working in the water industry, created a filtration system to prevent these emissions from being discharged into the atmosphere, thus making it environmentally friendly.
The Asher has been deployed in 13 countries so far including Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, Qatar, Bahrain and Australia. Pamarai Sdn Bhd is the sole distributor of The Asher.

I have seen a 2-tonne model being launched in Gopeng, Perak. Emissions were full of dark brownish fumes, possibly remnant dust particles. In actual usage, the treatment capacity turned out to be only one tenth of what the inventors / vendors claimed it to be. After 4 mths operation at below par capabilities, it stopped working altogether. As I last saw it, that Asher is still lying dormant there. Can the inventors / vendors offer a responsible and truthful account before launching into more hyped publicity and marketing?

Not to shoot down a potentially great local idea, but not all the waste is organic. He put in a battery pack. The ashes will contain toxic material which is not suitable for plants or to be disposed off in the river where it could kill fish. And msians throw everything like tyres, mattresses, plastics, styrofoam, etc etc. Even in ash form it's not organic.

Malaysians should still learn to separate and ‘clean’ their waste before disposal so that when systems like these are used, they can have a separation between non toxic biodegradable waste (to be used as fertilizer) and plastic waste dust to be use perhaps for construction

      @majlispembukabicara9408 ปีที่แล้ว +1

It was implemented before but due people/authorities lack of interests/initiatives. It was simply abandoned. It should be done gradually instead of mass implementation. And waste segregation should be part of culture/habit for Malaysians but it’s difficult to do so especially teaching the poor/country side people

I sounds like perfect waste disposal and waste treatment solution, however I am still skeptical. The whole video did not show or mentioned about what comes out at the other end of the process , however just shows the end product, which is the ashes. I am like to see at the end of the process how the workers removed the treated waste residue from the machine.

What Malaysia needs is not a machine to dispose of waste, but a change in attitude by Malaysians to deal with their litter effectively.
This could be a beautiful country, but it’s a rubbish tip the result of neglect, irresponsibility and lack of national pride
But as is usually the case, Malaysians opt for the quick fix meanwhile ignoring the real problem....Malaysians

    Good invention:
    Soalan:
    a) Mana pergi sisa bateri power bank tadi?

They not burning, they heating. The chemicals reaction is different. It already been explained in the video. Watch it again.

@@natsuyouchan2 Let me give you the 'basics' of heat treatment. You have straight incineration (burning). Even in burning you have various technology e.g. stoker grate, cyclone furnace, high temperature (plasma burning) etc. You also have non-burning-heat-treatment such as pyrolysis and gassification. BUT whatever the technology (especially last two) IT IS NOT TRUE THAT YOU CAN JUST THROW EVERYTHING INTO THE SYSTEM and expect solid to be the useful by product. IT IS ALSO NOT TRUE THAT ANY NEW INVENTION HAS COME OUT INRE MSW HEAT TREATMENT least of all the above claims...
Ahhh yes output fertiliser. Recycled biomass converted to fertiliser (whether from combustion, biodigester OR high temperature reduction) cannot be graded "food-grade" (i.e. can be used to grow food-grade crops) unless vigorous QC is implemented to remove toxic raw material input e.g. batteries, plastics etc. The video EXPLAIN NOTHING it just throw around a lot of buzz word without explaining anything to a techno geek like me. Try googling and wiki all above (incineration, plasma burning, gassification, pyrolysis etc) just to have a basic understanding. The NET is full of "high-tech" scam e.g. "Terano" or the magic bottle which extract water from the atmosphere...

even hitting 90% efficiency is hard but a 99% efficiency? I honestly don't buy it. If it's true, someone who invented it will win a Nobel Prize already.

yep this looks sketchy. Reminds me of those "composters" that are supposed to turn your kitchen waste to fertilizers. they actually just burn all your rubbish to crisp and consume tons of electricity in the process

Government did built warehouse sized incinerator at Pulau Langkawi around 10 years ago. Imported from overseas and millions of Ringgit spent. Only operated for few months and the island was back to landfill ever since.

If countries like USA, UK, Germany use then I guarantee this guy will use as selling point. I bet poor low tech countries use it thats why the names of the countries arent mentioned
