Since OU has finally moved into a big boy conference, I haven't once looked at OSU's schedule or care. And I know I'm not alone. Without Bedlam, I'm just not interested in what's going on in Stillwater.
OU-Nebraska used to be an important traditional game and that got flushed down the toilet. I'd pick them back up before I pick OSuckU back up. If they'll do fine without us, let 'em go people, they aren't a part of our future anymore!
Oh yeah absolutely. Nebraska at least deserves some respect for who they are, whether that was the past or not. They were a major powerhouse and I miss that rivalry. OU/Neb is a legendary rivalry that the youngins don’t even realize. Hopefully one day we can rekindle that rivalry. It may be weird to say but college football is better off with a strong Nebraska, at the very least it’s more fun! Also, Nebraska is one of the least delusional fan bases out there. They understand where they are right now because they’ve actually been on the side of major continued success. Take midzou and OSWho for example, they brag about very minor successes because this is as good as they’ve ever been and probably will be, yet they’re still not a top program. You will never see a team like Nebraska bragging about a 9 or 10 win season. They may be proud of a season like that right now because things have been rough for them lately, but they certainly won’t be bragging about it and I respect that about them. Boomer!☝️
Also, any osu fan that says they’re better off without the OU game, is just coping. They’re happy to remove basically a guaranteed loss from the schedule every season but they won’t ever admit that. Gundy acting like OU is the reason bedlam can’t continue is a joke of an excuse considering we’ve offered to continue the game. He just doesn’t want that guaranteed loss on the schedule. Simple as that. They lose to us 49/50 times yet “we’re the reason it can’t continue” lol it definitely isn’t because we kick them around year after year 😂 they can kick rocks with that nonsense.
I love in state rivalry games. They do matter. I grew up in Del City, Oklahoma My parents divorced and I moved to Ocala, Florida. The OU/ OSU game reminds me of UF/ FSU games.
Ya those 1 inch QR codes are gonna be real readable from 50 yards away. The concept is okay, but since it's a collective and it sends you to one site, why not just have a giant QR on the scoreboard and when you enter the collective, select your favorite players to recognize. OU ain't doing helmets where people can't read them. They have plenty of large areas in the stadium and QR codes are easy to broadcast on the screens (TV's, jumbotrons)
@@michaelhammond7115I would think OU has more tradition and respect for the uniform to stick a tacky QR code sticker on the back of the helmet. We have real donors that just raised the most money EVER.
I think Mike Gundy speaks honestly from the heart. If Paul wants to rip him for his honest thoughts, oh well. I think Mike Gundy is a genuine and genius coach.
Arizona State has BY FAR the largest enrollment, not UCF. ASU has 74,000+ students. UCF should be #2 with 55,000. oSu will ultimately suffer in the long run without the OU football game. They may be more competitive in the Big 12, but they won't earn the revenues and respect they would have with OU & Texas in the conference. In the short run, they'll be okay, especially since OU decided not to cut off oSu from all sports when oSu chickened out of football. But Utah looks like they will be the king of the Big 12, and I expect Utah with the local talent will be formidable each year in the conference. As for the Big 12's future, I don't really care. With the way things are going, the SEC and Big 10 will be in a class all their own. The rest are being left behind. The Big 12 is the new Mountain West Conference.
The big 12 is a necessary piece of the fabric of the College football quilt. They represent some of the best sports markets and fans. Would never expect to or want to see it fall. Ironically I think it’s under its best leadership in my lifetime with Yormark.
The big 12 will be just fine one of those teams has to take metal in that conference from the sooner but Oklahoma state was crying now all the sudden Oklahoma state wants the sooner back on the schedule, but they where crying and mike Gundy make the comments like he did several years ago ago at big 12 media days when the sooner decided to leave the big the big 12 yes the rivalry is important to the state
A lot of OU fans in here are laughable hypocrites, jump back to 5 minutes before the Texas OU departure announcement and these same OU fans were bragging about winning X amount of Big 12 championships and how the Big 12 is just as good or better than the SEC.
Oh, on your comments regarding the "rivalry" I have to disagree. oSu has won what 19-20 times in 120 or so meetings? That's just not competitive. Kudos to them for last year, but it's the exception not the rule. They'll never be a national power competing for the national championship. Facing off against the likes of Alabama and LSU and Georgia with the annual Texas game, that's a much more interesting and exciting schedule.
Would you think the so called F0REVER BEDLEM CHAMPS with OU @ 5th in recruiting on rIvals while the BEDLEM CHAMPS have only (2) 4 stars and are 47 spots down the list from OU at 52nd with many of its 3 stars are of the 5.5 which is the least you can be without being a 2 star...
