The luo ethnic group is a group of people who speak a relatively related dialect with the root word/suffix "DANO" which means people or person. There is more about us..........however the luo are not nilotes.....the word nilotes was a description of their entrails or course by the white man. Luo is on it's own an independent ethnic group.
