I heard from other artists' that they are going away from Etsy because of a big chunk of fee you have to pay later on when selling a lot more artwork. So they sell them on their own website which makes more sense when talking business and sales. I recommend to not stay on Etsy for a long time but make it short time until you have your own website to sell your work!

My problem is that I don't have a specific style. I love doing watercolor but I also do oil paint . I love testing new things so all my paintings put together is a bit chaotic, there is no distinct style ... I'm sill looking for what I love the most, it's hard to choose ... but I guess you are right, if you want to sell your work must be a bit coherent ! There are a lot of 'artholes' out there thinking that because you're an artist you should be selling for as low as possible. People who buy art always assume artists don't work hard for what they create. Sticking to a price is how an artist becomes successful financially. Galleries take advantage of artists especially newcomers. The one (trick) to becoming successful is to sell your art to someone with a presence such as a celeb or a notable online or TV personality, even so far as to gift. When people know that such and such owns a piece of your art, it will cause your name to grow.
