In this video i explained repair Sony play station PS4 PSU Power Supply ADP-200ER - push pull converter section, it uses dda001AG IC to drive mosfet, i explained what is stby power section and how it works. it is used to maintain dc voltage at a preset voltage level to maintain line regulation and load regulation. it increases the converter efficiency.

THANK,IF YOU UNSOLDER PIN 1 AND 2 ON THE OPTIC COUPLER HAVING TWO OPTIC COUPLERS CAN YOU STILL TELL IF OUTPUT COMPONENTS GETTING HOT IN THIS CASE.

if we remove pin 1 & 2 of optocoupler in this case, the output should fluctuate, because the feedback will not reach to the smps controller.
in this condition, in this condition no component should become hot, because most of the time the smps controller runs in restart mode and it stops function immediately due to over vcc voltage from vcc winding. and IC restarts again after a very short interval.

Hello, excellent video. I am trying to repair the ADP-240CR source for ps4, I don't know the differences between the one you repair in the video and the one I am trying to repair. It would have the schematic of the ADP-240CR. They are very similar but I need the schematic. In my case, the source does not turn on or bridge pins 1 and 3 of the connector. Thank you

PFC circuit gets biasing from STBY section

@@HaseebElectronics I have stand by 5 volts but my PFC doesn't get activated even after I press the power button. I suspect the 16 pin IC DNP012A is faulty. This IC has one of its pins directly connected to the power button connector.
