    Two of the greatest guitar players of all time. It doesn't get any better than Pat Metheny and John Scofield

    Mis 2 Dioses de la Guitarra moderna de JAZZ face to face. Uniendo fuerzas, talento, ideas y virtuosismo guitarrístico a nivel doctoral. Tándem letal. En plena forma. Desatados. ORGÁSMICO. UNA LOCURA.

      Sounds like monitor issues. Metheny's solo on the album version is fire.

    Whoa, Pat was shredding so hard the synth harmony patch couldn’t keep up

    • @caymenv8511
      @caymenv8511 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no synth harmony patch being used here, John Scofield is playing the harmony on his guitar while Pat plays the main melody. The gr-300 synth Pat uses has instant tracking capabilities simply because there really isn't any "tracking" happening, It's an analog synthesizer, so it's not triggering any patches throuhg midi like a digital synth would, this was before deigital synths, the gr-300 is much better and faster than anything modern, I own one and they're great, it can play as fat as you want it.

      @@caymenv8511There’s absolutely a doubling on P’s guitar that doesn’t quite keep up in the first head there. The 300 is instant per physics, but not immune to a little hick-up here and there, especially if the cable is a bit wonky.

      @@hepphepps8356 The only thing I hear is a little video glitch where the audio skips in the first head, or maybe you guys are confusing it for the delay effect on Pats guitar or the fact that they're both paying pretty behind the beat on that first head, Pat doesn't use "doubling" on his guitar effects. The only "doubling", is his 3 amp setup. As for synth harmony patch, also again Pat doesn't use harmony patches, John is harmonizing the melody with Pat. If there were a harmony patch, the harmony line would be in constant intervals, for example only harmonizing 3rd's or 5'ths, but the harmony lines don't stay constant on this melody, making it impossible for there to be a harmony "patch"....trust me I've studied Pat's gear and sound for decades, and I cant guarantee you he never uses a "doubling" effect, other than his sound being spread between 3 amps, not only that but on the head, that's the clean guitar signal going through the gr-300, so no glitches would be happening, I can maybe see glitches when the Gr-300 synth tone knob is on but for the head it's not, only the solo

    Was so looking forward to the interview, but the dubbed audio is way louder than the English. Curses!!!
    Still, killer tune, killer group! I miss this album!

    Four monsters. The studio version seems faster (tempo). I prefer the studio version, it is much more "nervous", especially for the bass/drums and the tempo. But who to listen to after them? Kurt Rosenwinkel? And after Kurt? Where is the next generation with so much genius? All the best has been done..
