Perhaps Evil can be left abstract as "opposition to the Good" ? We are driven to survive and reproduce therefore children are a good. It follows that killing children is an evil. Perhaps Good and Evil are best left simple but sadly are always then subject to manipulations by groups with divergent interests ?
Quite a fascinating talk. It seems that the examples, when comparing the perspectives of theologians and psychologists, where you state "the ONLY way so and so can ameliorate this or that compulsion" is silly. Rarely is there ONLY one way to take care of an urge.
Difficult question!How about some politicians' actions that have caused thousands of deaths.Do they feel anything?Unfortunately power and money corrupts,it takes a lot of self discipline to think clearly.If we we look at how why and what it never ends.... Difficult subject,study history....BUT, we are living better today than any other time....
