    I honestly thought I knew it all. After nearly only playing Battlefront 2 for 3 years and only playing in duels on Hero Showdown, I thought I had every trick figured out.
    Chaining abilities with a parry, like combining Kylo's freeze after the enemy is staggered from being parried to then follow up with a double strike from behind? Hook slashes? Been doing those for more than a year.
    But then this comes. How? How do you discover these things? It's honestly incredible. You really do deserve the rank of master, congrats to you my friend. I'm very happy to see these though, as after all this time, there are STILL new techniques to be mastered. Thank you!

      to be fair, isn't it a bug that occured a good bit AFTER launch? at least from the wording of everything i've seen, it was not there from the beginning and was a bug that players adopted as a feature, like that one thing in smash bros brawl that became a feature. so not all that surprising that folk who play casual aren't aware of its existence

  • @SumoneAverage
    @SumoneAverage 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Extra tip for some, there’s a thing called hook swings where essentially you run at them and jump then quickly turn around mid air (high sense needed) and hit which can hit there back if the opponent doesn’t dodge/doesn’t expect it. More so useful when running away or aggressive play but if the other player is good this will more often than not be the death of you

    Being able to parry makes the game so much more fun.
    For the record! When you parry, *DO NOT LET GO OF BLOCK* as you attack.
    Only issue with parries is that when being closely ganked there’s not much you can do if you’re hit during your attack frames because the game stutters your block frames after a parry. This in particular happens with Obi-Wan, who I adore playing.

      Yeah, it took a longggg time to figure out, but it’s handy to know just in case you do get perfect parried and are quick enough to react

    Can you make a tutorial on what the best ways to fight other heroes are?
    -For example if I'm fighting Vader I only attack while his choke is on recharge. It's a 25 sec cooldown and I actually count it.
    -Or with Iden I'll charge towards her, attempt a swing and immediately jump high in the air so that the Iden can't deal high damage while I'm shocked mid-air.

      1. I've found that most who play as Vader don't seem to realise how slow he is even when he's just turning (so try and go for the back.. honour is for dead men;))
      2. Environs with a lot of obstacles help as they can block his saber throws, just try to not get backed in to a corner. Most characters you can easily evade in that situation but with Vader that isn't an option because A. He's a tank, and B. If you try to jump out of the corner he'll just choke you and then you're stuck.
      3. Attacking when you're in close proximity is fine as long as you remember to put your guard up the instant after the attack animation has ended.
      4. Pick your hero accordingly.
      A battle can be won and lost simply by your choice of character.

    • @M4dM4n96
      @M4dM4n96 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      5. Utilise your dodge/evade button.
      Running away leaves you exposed (especially if you are controlling a slow hero), but using the dodge function allows you to make your way to a preferred area (or escape an unwinnable battle) without the downside of being vulnerable to attack.

    As a veteran, ever since the combat update. I was ALWAYS used to the huge prey animation. When back then I was very subtle about my attacks, and was mostly successful but with an equal trade of health gone. But since then, I never got the chance. I wish I could get my hands on this game again, reignite my skill and power... Amazing video though.

    I still don't really understand how parrying a parry really works, can you attack someone's block and then parry their normal let alone perfect parry? If the whole point of a parry is to hit your opponent while they are vulnerable during their swing animation then they shouldn't be able to block your hit right?
