    Thanks for this fantastic video! It's tough to find comprehensive Bali airport (DPS) experience coverage, but your content nails it. The airport transfer section provides a clear picture of what to expect immediately upon arrival outside. 👍

    The cost of visa information provided here is incredibly valuable. I also found the detailed breakdown of the different sections of the airport, from the luggage area to the airport transfer is very useful. Thank you!

    hi sir, found ur video and I have a couple of Qs. I would like to be clear about. What specific items do we need to declare at customs? do we need to declare our laptops or everything we carry??

    • @escapeontime
      @escapeontime  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You do not need to declare laptops that are for personal use. However, you will need to fill out a Customs Declaration Form beforehand to clear customs. This form will have several items that you'll need to check 'yes' or 'no' for. For instance, you must declare if you are carrying $6400 USD or more.
      Before we go out, they will scan your luggage and bags in the machine before you head out. While most regular travelers do not carry items like animals, fish, or plants, it's important to be aware of any restricted or prohibited items by customs regulations.
      If you are planning to bring specific items, I recommend visiting the official website of the Indonesian customs authority or contacting them directly for the most up-to-date information on what items require declaration and any specific requirements or restrictions.

    I plan on going to Bali at end of October. Do you have any suggestions of how much USD to bring to Bali? I plan on using my ATM card there (capital one 360) to get cash

    • @escapeontime
      @escapeontime  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Your expenses in Indonesia will depend on your duration and plans. Fortunately, credit cards are widely accepted in Indonesia, making it convenient for various expenses such as hotel bills and restaurant meals. I would suggest having around 1,000 USD in cash for a week-long stay. This should be sufficient for visa cost, small expenses and emergencies.
      Regarding your choice of debit card, it's important to note that using the Capital One 360 debit card at ATMs in Indonesia may not be the most cost-effective option. While Capital One doesn't charge foreign transaction fees and fees, the ATM owner will likely charge fees, resulting in you receiving a reduced amount. Capital One does not reimburse these fees. I recommend obtaining a Charles Schwab debit card. This card offers the advantage of no fees when withdrawing cash at both ends. Even if the ATM owner charges fees, Charles Schwab will reimburse them, making it a more economical choice compared to the Capital One 360 debit card. Hope this helps with your trip planning! Let me know if you need any other information. Bali is beautiful and you will enjoy there.

      @@escapeontime Great tips! I typically use Capital One 360 for international ATMs, but I wasn't aware of the ATM owner fees before. That explains why I've been receiving less money than expected when traveling abroad. Thanks for the advice on using the Charles Schwab Debit Card, which doesn't have any fees and even reimburses the ATM owner fees. You're a lifesaver! 👍😊

    Hello there, do you know if USA citizens need to apply for any evisa or regular visa or not to travel to Indonesia??

    • @escapeontime
      @escapeontime  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For U.S. citizens traveling to Indonesia for tourism or business trips lasting less than 30 days, typically, no advance visa is required. Upon arrival, you can obtain a visa on arrival (VOA) valid for 30 days. 🌍 During our trip, we, as U.S. citizens, also took the visa on arrival.
      It's advisable to keep some cash handy for the visa fee, which is approximately $40 per person. If you follow our video, you can expect a similar process upon arrival at the airport. Hope this information helps!

      @@escapeontime Oh thanks ! But you visited a few months back, do you think regulations changed by now? Bc currently I am at BD, and some people say i need it some say I don't need it, a bit confused since 3 people said i need to obtain one and 2 said i don't.

      @alviislam4412 Yes, we traveled to Bali from Bangladesh a few months ago on our way back to the USA, and the visa process remains the same as of 2024. Several people here have asked similar questions, and they were able to go through the exact same process recently as we did. You can find more details on the Bali dot com website: Bali Visa for US Citizens:
      bali.com/bali/bali-visa-indonesia-entry-regulations/bali-visa-for-us-citizens-usa/
      For further confirmation, you can also contact the Embassy in Bangladesh. Stay Connected and Safe travels!

      @@escapeontime Appreciate it sir. So I can just buy tickets and book hotel and that should be it ?? NO nothing to file online? Rest is upon arrival at the airport?

    • @escapeontime
      @escapeontime  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@alviislam4412 Absolutely! Buying tickets and booking your hotel are the main things to take care of. You can get an Indonesian visa from Bangladesh beforehand to avoid the visa on arrival process. However, as a U.S. citizen, you should be able to enter Bali, Indonesia by obtaining a visa upon arrival at the airport, just like we did.
      During our trip, we flew from Bangladesh to Singapore to Bali, and although I haven't had the chance to publish all the videos yet, here is the playlist with details about our trip to Bali, including information about flights, the hotel we stayed at, and the beautiful Nusa Dua beach. Enjoy your time in Bali!

    Sir how to apply arrival card

    • @escapeontime
      @escapeontime  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Here's a summary for filling out the Bali Customs Declaration Form (ECD or Bali arrival card):
      1. Access the Electronic Bali Customs Declaration Form at: [ecd.beacukai.go.id/](ecd.beacukai.go.id/)
      2. Fill out your personal and travel information in the Customs Declaration (BC 2.2) section. Note: Foreigners staying less than 90 days in Indonesia may not need to register their IMEI.
      3. Provide information about your goods in the Customs Declaration section. Make sure to declare all goods accurately.
      Remember:
      - Complete the form before landing in Bali.
      - You can fill out the form up to 3 days before arriving in Bali.
      - After submission, save the QR code on your phone or print it out.
      - Only one form per family is allowed.
      These steps should help streamline your entry process into Bali. Safe travels!
