- This Dominions 5 tutorial is designed to bring you from knowing nothing to being able to comfortably play. The game may appear overwhelming but hopefully this video will help you quickly get a grasp on things so that you can enjoy playing this incredibly fun and emergent strategy game. This quick start guide presumes that you know nothing but even if you're not a brand new player there still may be something to learn in this video.

Don't forget you can use the "?" key to see a list of keyboard shortcuts almost anywhere in the game. This is only really useful for new players, as the old players just have them all memorized, lol.
This is the best beginners guide for Dom5 I have ever seen. Not only have you explained the core concepts of the game but you have provided easy to understand examples. So many other TH-camrs create "easy to understand" guides that are absolutely worthless. They fail to point out the simple details because they take for granted that the audience already knows the reasons behind the tips and tricks they mention. I have been playing Domions since Dom3 but had no clue about what I was doing even after watching and reading countless guides. Your in depth but easy to understand guide have opened my eyes in such a way that words can't describe. Thank you!

I think this is the best general overview of Dom5 I've seen so far. Good editing for pacing, plenty of visual examples to see what it's all about.
My biggest barrier always was (aside from UI) sheer scope of the available magic paths. So many options... always end up completely lost, and path planning is correspondingly difficult, considering that has to encompass both magic, boosters, and crafting.
My plans always start and end with something like: “i wanna summon Grigori”
If only I had a dime for each "don't worry too much about this, because it can be a little overwhelming for you at the beginning" attica said here...

I was looking for a comprehensive starter guide for somebody, who has never seen Dominions before and this is it! Other more known channels on TH-cam dumb a lot of useless information or babble around to (unintentionally) fill the time. Starting at 1:45, this guide is well suited, thumbs up!
I love this game. You can summon a giant toad, make it sentient, then name it Pepe and make it your prophet. Then teach it how to use blood magic, because why the fuck not. Now it can make it rain blood, or toads, or even jaguars if you are playing Mictlan.
I've never sat through an hour tutorial so easily, this video aged well, i just came back to this game randomely and i never really knew how to play thew game. Now i feel confident to jump right in, keep up these tutorials man.
This is probably one of the most detailed tutorial I have seen in a while. While being still a decent player, it thought me the power of spell casting during battle.

So, I just got into this game after watching another tuber do a series on it. I just wanted to say a preemptive thanks for all the rest of the videos in the series, as I can already tell how useful they are going to be. This game is incredibly deep, I could tell by what I have seen and played so far. The rabbit hole goes much farther than I ever expected.
"Quickstart Tutorial - Start Playing Fast" = is one hour and thirteen and the first words I hear are "less of a learning curve and more of a learning wall". Yeah this looks like my type of game alright.

Wait, formations don't cut morale off your troops like they did in dom4? That's news for me, lol. I disregarded them for several years already cause I'm usually too worried about my troops not fleeing from battle more than anything else.
This is a really great tutorial (I'm assuming. I haven't played the game, but it's very in depth.)

Bro your vids are great. Dominions is the best game. Do you know if 3v3 disciple games are a thing?
Any type of game is a thing, that's the advantage of long term games (i.e. a turn a day). You don't need to find 5 other people right now that want to do a 3v3, just 5 people in general that want to do that. The only issue is that you might have to admin that game, since you can be waiting for a while expecting someone else to set that game up.
