That 53 was the very first model I ever built as a kid.

That 53 is a pretty good kit it was one of the ones I lost in our move. My dad had one when I was born, baby blue and white. I think I need to get another one lol.
That paint looks awesome gonna be perfect with the black floor pan.

I going to have to get a can of that stainless steel paint. Thanks Zippy. Just what I need is more paint. I just received 16 bottles of Testors enamel paint today I got off EBay. That stuff lays down nice. MCW is my favorite though. You build some nice stuff.

Those flow lines just put a clear base on the plastic before you prime it.......makes a cool build.....I built one about 10 years ago in black

I hope it's an optical illusion thing with the camera, but the driver's side looks caved in a bit on the '53. You may have to do some heating to straighten it. Really a shame the trunk area has those gouges. I've been unsure if I wanted to buy that kit at a couple of swap meet/model shows I've attended, because I hadn't seen what's inside, so I'm happy you showed this model on your channel. It looks better than the box image, so I might go for it next time I see one.
