I've been in music for over 40 years. I've played with some of the finest musicians on the planet. But, the best were always Country players. No question.
Chris, I love how much (well-placed) confidence you have in your abilities! It's obvious that you have worked on the song a bit, but you are just hearing/watching Brad do these licks and then you do them.
It's interesting to see the guitarist who came up with a solo explaining how he played it. There was none of that, pre-Internet! Most of the time, when I play in covers bands I only play note for note solos if they're a) really easy, or b) iconic. Otherwise, I'll improvise a solo, then after a few gigs, I will have developed a solo by trial and error. This saves a lot of time on rehearsals, and keeps the sound fresh.
Jerry Donahue listen to him no bender required. Had a few lessons from him back on the Hellecaster days Mind boggling style as was john jorgenson and will ray❤
I can only hit the 👍 once, but in my heart and mind, it's a thousand times.

Always has been, the first shredders were country flatpickers. The musicianship of Western Swing still blows me away today

1:35 - Brad needs to jam to King Gizz - The River!
So refreshing to see a king gizz also commenting on Brad paisley videos!
