Sooooo you need more chests then what you originally said just a bit annoying thinking you have everything but no you don’t and I had to go grab more stuff
If you're playing on pocket edition I found that if you write the word fish, or anything else, on the center of the sign in front of the chest, and make the fish button that pops up when you click on the fishing pole cover the words on the sign, it's easier to make sure the fishing pole actually goes in the water. I haven't tried this at a lot of angles or distances, but it's worked for me so far.
For those wondering about auto clickers with no enchantments it's 30 sec so min of 31 I'd use 35 sec just to be sure. With every lvl of lure goes down by 5 sec to min of 15 sec I use 20 sec just to sure.
@@Average_German i don't think you can sorry, you can only get auto-clickers as far as i know on mobile and PC, you can't get autoclickers for the console versions

For sky access and better rates in the rain, break the slab above the chest, and instead aim your rod at the bottom lip of the slab that prevents you from falling in lava. You might also put a fence around the water source just to prevent mobs from getting too close.
Thoughts on improving the farm to pick up more treasure books? According to the wiki - to catch items in the treasure category, the bobber must be in open water, defined as the 5×4×5 vicinity around the bobber resting on the water surface (2 blocks away horizontally, 2 blocks above the water surface, and 2 blocks deep).
@@joshswenney5275that’s something interesting which I would like to test and maybe look into the code. Are fish less likely to hook without access to the sky? Are humans really just fish who figured out how to use lungs? Does the international space station have an entire “secret” module just for storing poop until we can deorbit it into a glorious flaming atmospheric poop firework? Do snails ever dream of flying?

Amazing vid! Been able to get a decent amount of enchanted books. Is there a way you can increase capacity? As in if I AFK for hours, the chest quite quickly fills up with a load of rubbish and only a few books. Have full enchanted fishing rod.
you could attach even more hoppers and chests to raise storage. but for every hopper chest combo you add the depth will go down by at least on more block depending on how you attach the hopper to the chest

I don't need many so don't want to build your big puffer and tropical fish farm... yet. Anyway, I am in a jungle biome and after three full chest of loot from this farm I still have not gotten a single pufferfish. Does the biome matter? I am in the jungle. Do you have any idea why this would be? Thanks Again!
Is this more efficient than your last fish farm? Last one was way bigger because you said it was what was needed for maximum rewards, that was like 1.20 or something but I’m just wondering… has that changed?

JC, could you make an automatic farm for the interaction of Skeleton picking up a sword dropping full durability bows? i just using this interaction to get early enchanted bows from skellies
Btw if you want to do that you can on Xbox one edition, and then when you get all your mending books you can transfer your world back over to bedrock edition.
I followed each of the instructions, but my rod won't get in the water. it keeps hitting the slab in front of my face and drops down. is there anything I'm doing wrong?
Guys, double check your slabs. The one on top of the waterlogged chest should be a bottom slab. Completely remove the one that’s closer to you, just for now. It isn’t necessary for full function. Let me know what happens. Maybe there’s another block you could put in place of the upper slab.
Ive been trying to get this farm to work for me for the last few hours. ive rebuilt it a couple of times, and each time the kelp im planting isn't staying in the farm, but breaking and going into the hoppers. what am I doing wrong?? i don't think im on a boarder, but I could be mistaken (26,73,361 - 26, 73, 351 are the two back corners of where I have built the farm)

I do 20 just to be sure but you should catch a fish every 15 seconds as long as the bober (where the lava is) has open air or glass above.

(Or some portion of the water area as you’ve described it)
I built it just like this with no open air and got treasure items. I change it up to have open air above the bober which catchs fish faster.

It requires altering your mcworld files so you need to be playing on PC or a device that lets you access those files.
Works for everything but treasure. I removed the lava and got books/rods almost instantly. But it is a fish farm for sure 👍

I remember back in the day you could've held down the button to cast the rod and left it for hours :( good times
I would put one of those hair bands on my Xbox controller to keep the button pressed down while I slept, great times.

Yeah, you just set the autoclicker after a timer of 15 seconds, 15 seconds with lure 3 is the max time a fish can take to be catched
