Brings back a lot of memories thanks for the video. From what I read the hotel defaulted on a $28 million loan and the hotel was foreclosed on. Arsonist eventually destroyed the property.
Miss this place. Haven’t lived in the area since 2003.
So many memories of events for 4-H and other things as a kid. Stayed once or twice as well…
Then as a young adult, taking dates here to Zanies and the restaurants. Used to play in swing dance and jazz combos so many times and even going to dance with dates and friends.
So sad to see this place have gone by the wayside.
Been there when I was little. I’m crying right now. I wanted to go back after
Covid-19 but I guess I can’t. I’m literally breaking down in tears. This sucks a lot
How about now?
Some great family memories were made at Pheasant Run over the years. It's too bad it was let go and had to close, seems at the very least, it might have made a great retirement center. That said, on 5/21/22 a major wing of empty rooms (west of the tower) caught fire and it appeared they were pretty much allowing it to burn(?)
I never even knew it closed! I used to hear a lot of people going there but after I had to stop working due to reasons I never heard much about it. I always wanted to go there. But never got to. I do not live a long way away from there but did not even know it closed until the fire showed up on my phone tonight. So sad but like so many, after the recession money got worst. Then COVID pushed these places over the edge.
They were trying to prevent the tower from catching fire and they ran out of water
I'm looking for a video of the tiny arcade room
Soon to be demolished. It was the last of it's kind...
So very true, so many memories from the Pheasant Run.
Had my honeymoon there 11/92😢
:(
😭I miss it so much.
The walk through after the auction is so much sadder. Its on my channel. just trying to keep the memories of the Run alive.
well ... at least we didn't get a mild flu ...
