Hello my darlings! :) Today I am excited to have my next Vlog for all of you! I feel like this is turning into a monthly thing... but I kind of want to do more. We will see how long this second-trimester energy lasts lol! Shape wear when you are pregnant is amazing. I am two weeks postpartum. I did not use it with our first. This time around with our daughter, I am so happy I used it. As the belly grows you feel the support on your back, under your belly, inner thighs etc.

Mrs Midwest Me too! I did my PhD too and after finding this channel I feel that I can sort of “get out of the closet” and be the woman I am. My identity is not longer tied to be a scientist and a career-oriented woman. I realized that it is something that I do as I have the preparation and I have been blessed by having the opportunity to do posgraduate studies but is not who I am neither the center of my life. I realize that is ok to enjoy of the things I have always liked to do such as cleaning, decorating, singing and taking care of myself. I constantly felt that taking care of my outside appearance did not fit with my career and a couple of times I had been judged as someone less competent because of that. Although most people don’t talk about this, very often, acquiring a high academic degree demands to neglect yourself (even your health) and your family. Perhaps is achievable to find balance between being a feminine woman and a career-oriented woman, but I think is very difficult and there will always something that we may need to trade off.
@@kicc09 you spoke my mind. I love wearing dresses, i love cleaning and decorating. This channel helped me come in term with those aspects of me- hobbies and interests that are stereotypically masculine as video gaming and hiking are considered cool. But my hobbies and interests are considered basic or boring. This channel helped me appreciate my interests and actually own them with pride
@@kicc09 omg! I am also doing my PhD, and I am feeling like people are judging if you are not in that crazy, science woman stereotype. Well, I am more then that, yes I have knowledge, which I am very greatful for, but I am also a woman who hope to start a family, and live a slow life.

@@ksenijam.2111 thanks for sharing this! I see that we are not alone! The original comment has 165 likes! That speaks out loudly! Although is good being professionally prepared, I think we have to make priorities and make room for our families is that what we really want deep inside. We women, need to be more honest with ourselves and determine what really bring fulfillment to our lives (it could be professional achievements or a family).

This is just so beautiful like I feel at peace knowing that there are women that do embrace their femininity. Im a young girl who wants to become a mother and stay at home but I constantly have this on and off battle with my parents who keep preaching that I "need to go to college" and that I need to be more "masculine" considering how much our society keeps enforcing those ideas. This video made me teary eyed at how happy you are. I've been subscribed to your channel for awhile and thank goodness I had because I felt like I could learn more about who I am by watching these videos.
@She’s so Lucky Yeah I mean going to college isn't bad its just something I haven't thought much over. My parents just want me to be more like how society views women (which is something I struggle to conform to)
I am so happy you are finding a place here! It’s difficult to stand up for your beliefs and desires at a young age. I have found the best thing to do is to just let people see you thrive while living life your own way. The good news is that you can still embrace your femininity, no matter what your future holds: career, college, or staying home. It will all be okay :)
Caitlin went to college (I did too, that’s where I found my husband!) so you could use it to find a man, just don’t take out any debt! :)
There are many “feminine” majors you could consider if you’re interested☺️
Maybe you could go to college for something like teaching or creative writing! I have loved my university experience even though it can sometimes be hard when I'm not interested in an extremely 'onwards-and-upwards' type of career . That being said, though, I have heaps of gorgeous feminine friends who are studying hard for careers in science! So if that's where your strengths lie, there's no shame in doing that.
All my great grandmothers were homemakers but also incredibly talented with their artistic passions. My great grandma on my dads side was an award winning painter and my great grandma on my moms side, who I grew up with, was an award winning quilter. And my moms mom was a published poet.
Ladies don’t treat your artistic interests as just ways to pass the time after necessary chores, cultivate your skills to the fullest as a way of practicing your own authenticity. Art, music, writing, sewing, knitting, weaving, even lace making. These are all valuable skills, they’ve been used to preserve cultures and pass down their stories to new generations for millennia. So use them to tell your story so that your own great great grandchildren may have the blessing of knowing you
Caitlin, your painting skills are very good, please do some original pieces in the future. I’m sure your descendants will cherish them as much as I cherish my great grandmas 💜

Me too! My husband is in grad school at UCLA and we have 4 years left in the bustling city. I have a job at a major pharma company but I can’t wait for babies in a couple years and then slower living soon after that!

This is me, the 8-6 grind in a huge city. This helps me calm it down. Study as much as possible, once you start work you won't get to study much and you will remember stuff you read.

You have inspired me to do more walking. I am prepping to take the bar exam to become a lawyer, but my first job is being a homemaker. Prepping for the exam has taken my life and turned it upside down. Life is so stressful right now, especially compared to my favorite job--homemaking. Walking 3-5 miles a day has kept me sane! Love the outfits, and of course the baby bump!

you are one of the biggest inspirations in my life (ik that sounds super parasocial and slightly weird) but your lifestyle is such a light to me. i've always hated the idea of being a career woman, there's such pressure on us to work and prioritize money over family. since becoming saved at 18 my vision for my life has done a 180, and it's thanks to women like you who show me that being a housewife isn't just a "cop out," it's what God has intended for me and so many other women.

When I was pregnant I dreamed about nothing but food and eating!lol it happened almost every night for 9 months! I had alot of middle of the night snacks and cravings 😊 The dreams stopped completely when I had him.

E Z I actually totally respect your opinions. I feel like people can twist and prod at anything to make it seem dark and evil. Many people’s argument against halloween is that it stems from paganism. What they don’t know is that many Christmas traditions also originate from paganism and their culture and way of living as well as witchery. As I am sure you know, Christmas isn’t bad! It’s amazing! If we, ourselves, have good intentions and keep the Holy Spirit with us in what we do, we can be protected and feel God’s Mercy through our innocence and intent. If you do not feel that halloween is a good thing, I respect and understand that, but, I hope you in turn will respect that halloween for me is literally only about dressing up and getting candy as well as spreading joy to children through the memories of halloween night trick or treating. Soak it all in! First pregnancy is such a magical time of anticipation. Second pregnancies are a little harder with a little one in tow, but having a community of other moms who know the struggle and are there to support really help :-)

P.S. I noticed in the cleaning segment that you use Windex...if you ever feel like trying something different, try the SprayWay Glass cleaner; it’s AMAZING. Does a much better job than Windex and it smells nice, too!

Your dream story was funny! My mom said that when she was pregnant with me, she had recurring nightmares where two people would kidnap me and my older brother at the same time, run in opposite directions and she could only save one of us 😭
I too never considered myself a “baby person”. I wasn’t all “goo goo gah gah” lemme hold your baby either!
However, with my 2 month old it’s totally different. I love being with him and being a SAHM.
You will see when you have your son. You may very well turn into a “baby person” when you have him :)

I think it is important that you show this life. When both spouses work, there is a lot of hiring of other people to fill these roles. There is a lot of take out meals, hiring a cleaning lady or just not cleaning at all, and then daycare when kids come along. I like that you show that being a housewife is not just drudgery but it is a creative process and a gift to the most important people in our life. Also, house cleaning is good exercise!

Hi Caitlin, I saw you don’t use gloves during cleaning with chemical products. I suggest you to use them because chemicals can pass your skin and be dangerous for the baby!

Yes, and also think about where all that chemical stuff goes too...in the ground, imagine everybody emptying these chemical bottles daily into the sweres systems does everything think it magicaly disappears? I know cleaning is important but I always try to use the most enviromental friendly products, we need to protect and respect nature.
Keep your comment in mind the next time the doctor suggests you get a flu shot because that is ALL chemicals and other crazy ingredients

So true. We never even question what all is in vaccines until we have a problem. The levels of mercury in vaccines are highly toxic.
JM Cast Although I understand your point but it’s important to remember that everything is a chemical. I literally mean everything exists as a chemical compound or element, but most things that we are accustomed to seeing often have a common name. And just because something is “natural” doesn’t inherently make it safe. Be careful of fragrances, especially in the form of essential oils like Frankincense or Peppermint, for instance. They can be sensitizing to adults but especially babies.
This is kind of unrelated LOL but thank you for doing those renovations even during those difficult times. Builders are really struggling right now and doing a job for a lovely family like you is going to really help someone out

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I was actually saving your new video until I have the time to sit down and have a proper experience of it, it always feels like chatting with an older sister. Recently your videos have helped with my ever-present at the back of my mind fear of being pregnant, I'm so glad you're doing well. Also, I totally agree that having a pet as a part of the family is a blessing. My kitten has needs every morning, so I find myself getting up reliably in the morning to fill his food and water bowls, and clean out his toilet and spend some time with him. He contributed to my mental well-being more than my therapist, and I smile whenever you show Harley because I recognise these feelings.

It is actually so sad that even if they want , not many women can afford to be stay-at-home wives due to general low incomes ... it would be perfect if it only took one salary to support an entire family, that being the one of the husband
This is so true. I love these videos, they are so inspirational and make me smile but at the same time they make me sad. Because I don't know if I can ever afford to live this way. I wanted to become a homemaker when I was 18-19 but due to general pressure I went to the university. Now with all the student loans etc, being a stay-at-home wife seems very far away. I wish I could make this choice again and actually listen to my heart and choose the path that I really wanted.
This is very true. But in some situations it's also because some people just want to always buy nice things and do so much. They can't afford this lifestyle with only one income, I believe if they lived more frugally, then being a homemaker would be more realistic.

It's because they are bitter and jealous of her half the time
They don't like women who are more traditional and don't hate themselves and are following the traditional Christian life/morals/values etc. it's that simple, plus it's European traditional (e.g. my friends who are devout Christian Philippine, Ghanaian or other religions like Muslim Arab or Pakistani etc. and it's slightly different cultures, styles ... so obviously here it's more generic European, I guess western European as I'm Slavic and it's more similar than non European but a little more distinct from the western European countries, who are all still very unique, but because North America was settled by Europeans of all backgrounds it's more of a generic pan European feel).
Nothing to do with the fact she's a neo-nazi for sure 👍🏻
