Sir: I am 80 years of age and have been doing custom leather projects for over 50 years. I am truly in admiration of your technique and yes patience. You do a wonderful job of your grips. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks. I want you to know that I have learned a couple of new tricks from you and am very grateful! Many thanks for your efforts.

Told myself that maybe I could install it later on, yeah, I don't think so. Going to etar this year. Ill check to see if I like it then. Amazing bows!

Watched your video on putting beaver tail grips on bows. My question is do I need to soak regular leather as you do the tails?

How long are you soaking the skins before the third application... thanks always for the great videos!

Third application? I only soak snake skins for a few seconds.. I don't want them to be soggy.

@@BigJimsBowCompany thanks for the reply Jim!
I'm sorry I should have been more clear I'm putting the beaver tail on the handle and watched your video... great video BTW..you appear to soak after second barge application and before application to handle... just did not mention how long on the beaver.
I put on the second pass of barge!
now if I understood correctly you soaked after... pat dry... then apply... I love the way you worked it on the recurve.

I don't understand why put glue on them if youre gonna let it dry.

Contact cement is tacky but allows you to work with it. Used in flu flu arrows too
