I don't know if you've noticed this, and I think I might be the only one, but every one of Ranger's base bullet stats are greater than that of the Predator. Faster reload? Check. Faster bullets? Check. More bullet health? Check. Higher single bullet damage? Check. Larger recoil? Check.
3:08 That only applies to Stalker. Ranger will most likely defeat an Overlord in a 1v1 (it even says on the Wikia). I play with Ranger in 4TDM a lot and most of my kills are drone classes and Destroyers. As far as I know Ranger kills everything except for fast ramming tanks and low bullet speed Fighters.

Its ok you have your opinio about these tanks. I think they are strategic tanks, in that the player needs to be adept and smart with them to use to their full potential. Ranger if played well, can beat any other tank in a ranged battle even smasher types. Two rangers, ive noticed, can devastate trapper bases and any tank with their back on them, in a few seconds. Stalker is good for base camping, especially in domination. If you can defend against 3 or more people, or in a giant bullet fest, i consider you very adept. Leave your opinion below on these tanks below.

Ranger is my favorite tank. The only rammer I have a problem with is the anihalttor, (I have max speed on my sniper class) because it can boost very fast though not to much trouble,, so rammers are just annoying but can’t kill you that easily. Also if you have to go up against a drone class start to run away but in the process try to move up or down a little so you can shoot the tank controlling the drones because they usually weak and back off quickly after taking one or two hits because it does so much damage to a low armor tank and if the drone tank has more health then usual just do it over and over again until they also run

Predator should be a lot better than ranger, but the problem is, its aim isn't as good and its bullets are slower. Ranger is an amazing lookout in TDM, because its FOV is as wide as that of a stationary predator. For boss killing, ranger is effective in 1v1, but if another tank comes in, you could be in serious trouble. Honestly skimmer or overlord work just as well, and they have better defense.
What I don't like, actually hate, about Predator is that it just doesn't work. Snipers are supposed to use their large FOV to find unsuspecting enemies and kill them before they can react, and also foresee danger from far away. You can't do that with Predator unless you're just goofing off with the zoom ability. Another thing is that if bullets appear on your screen, meaning someone is near you, you can't snipe them because they're already blocking themselves by firing towards you. Predator sucks; play Ranger.
i find sniper to be really fun. especially ranger. i think ranger is better than predator. ranger has the widest sight and the fastest bullet speed. you can hit enemy when they can't.(i say sight increase doesn't help much except significant one like ranger) also it's easy to hit. predator has high dps and can move sight. it's critical weak point is bullet speed,which means the farther the enemy, the harder to hit. so you can't utilize the moving sight. it is more of supporter than sniper. something may be awkward cuz i dont use english
They both are good attacks but there not good at drones/Factory drones/Other drones/Swarms and stuff like that and its not a good defense so I can’t decide if it’s good or not

I fight on behalf of the sniper brothers.Stalker is awesome at when your enemies are low leveled of you farming.I once drove the spawn right back where they started when they came out. I vote they are good in the right hands,and the other tanks are too.Overlord requires skill. I’m gonna say something controversial… Ranger is better than Predator. I’m sorry but as someone who used to love Predator and use it all the time, I slowly began to realise how shit it is and started to prefer Ranger. I rarely use it now. With Ranger you don’t have to constantly right-click to see your full FOV, which means you can attack enemies before they provoke you; the whole point of a Sniper. Predator can also easily be ambushed and due to its slow reload and low recoil, it’s basically impossible to get away once you’re in someone’s FOV. Also, Predator is really, really bad against drone tanks. Ranger too can be pretty bad (specifically with Necromancer) but most Overlords can be easy if you’re skilled since Ranger’s high recoil can keep you out of its FOV while you shoot from a distance, and Battleship is basically Ranger food. It’s also very good against the Destroyer branch and Gunner Trapper. The build I use is 0/0/0/6/7/7/7/6. I don’t get what so many people see in Predator that makes them think it’s better than Ranger. Sure it has stackable bullets, but imo it’s too slow, too easy to sneak up on, not good enough at sniping, and has too little recoil and bullet speed.
SGM in my opinion the ranger and stalker are very vulnerable because of bad reload. I don't like these tanks. They're easy to kill by overlord and necromancer. Stalker is good for trolling with body damage, but that's it. Don't use these tanks. Also vulnerable to rammers. Oh and at least they're good against octotank and bosses. I give stalker 4/10 and ranger 3/10. I recommend sniper or predator. they both outclass stalker and ranger.

There is one aspect that predator doesn't have;Ranger would find a tank first,while predator had to be provoked so it can find you.

Predator can kill only when provoked. Ranger can spot and kill any tank on low hp.
