I have come to that conclusion as well.
Take away the folding feature, the MS gimmics and the closest weapon I can see it as is a Bardiche.

The Dougram, from Fang of the Sun Dougram uses a similar colour scheme with predominantly dark navy blue and crimson highlights.

Funny thing is in the Medieval times they don't have all the classifications for weapons like we do. A bastard sword was just a sword. A broad sword was just a sword. They would look at us like idiots if they witnessed our weapon discussion.

I bought the HGUC Efreet DS, along with the Pixie & Slave Wraith, but they won't arrive til late may.
Stupid virus is hampering my enjoyment of plastic crack...
I alternate between calling his weapon a lance or pole-axe.

I think his colours are based on Giant Robo which was a steel blue & red robot that looked like a beefy pharaoh with handrails on its face for the "pilot" to hold on to during fights.
I need to watch that anime at some point... Same for The Big O.

We are more likely to get the vanilla Byarlant as it is a Zeta era MS whereas the Byarlant Custom is a Unicorn era MS thus its still a long way off.

@@kaungsett2194 actually no the Byarlant data was recovered after the Gryps conflict in 0087 and the Federation developed the Custom but it was never used until 0094

Except they didn’t develop the Custom until the 0090s and the one we see in the OVA is a non-full spec version for testing purposes and the actual full spec Custom had a malfunction when the Zeon remnants hit Torrington thus it didn’t sortie. This is all detailed in a side story manga and the fact that they were still undergoing testing seem to imply that they were only recently built.

@@kaungsett2194 I know about that side story manga but there is a detailed blurb in an article about that manga that clears up some information. Because it was stated the second unit was actually destroyed and then the manga says it only malfunctioned. It also stated that the test unit was developed after the acquired the Byarlant Data but put the project on hold when Char's Counterattack happened and it was reactivated with the second unit being developed in 0090. I need to find it and share it here.

I was in a mix-up yesterday. The entire enemy team was Z Gundams. The problem was they weren't used to it yet. We destroyed them in 3 minutes and 7 seconds. Fastest mix-up I think I ever did

At this cost I usually play the Zaku I Commander Type, and these guys always like to hunt me down, the only way to survive is counter the melee and get lucky.

I'm not sure of the exact time but I think it's roughly 10 seconds.

When you pop the smoke you get a Defense Buff which gets displayed on the HUD, so you can tell how long it lasts by looking at the defense icon. Which yes it seems to be something like 10 seconds.
