I am excited to share a new video with you today. I've been wanting to use my "Painted Seasons" stamp set with the Baby Wipe Technique (which worked beautifully) and decided to film the process.
This technique has been around for years, but what's 'old is new again', right? I've also got some stamping friends who have told me they completely forget how to do the "Baby Wipe Technique" - so this video will be a good refresher if you've forgotten too! If you've never heard of the "Baby Wipe Technique", then you're in for a treat!

TOTALLY AWESOME, TINA! Just LOVED the cards and SO HAPPY you revisited this technique! You are so right that “some of the oldies” get tucked away n’ forgotten by us “seasoned stampers” and yet, are WONDERFUL to bring back and share with “newbies”!! Basically, these cards can be created with minimal supplies, too! Certainly, the Painted Seasons is a fantastic set for this! I was so glad you shared examples with BOTH cardstocks, too! The “swipe” is really cool and makes lovely backgrounds! TFS n’ HAPPY STAMPIN’ n’ CREATIN’! :-)

So glad you didn't edit! I LOVE how you are so "into" what you're doing and loving the whole process, as well you should! Never feel apologetic for that!! It's been too long since I've done this myself, and yes! I've seen it done lots of times in the past but it's one of those things that rolls around every now and then and suddenly goes away again ... so. Try it on the Glossy paper! Gina K. has done lots of this sort of thing in the past. I love smearing colours around like this myself! Have a fun week m'dear! 😘

Wow....just had to try this...and it is addicting!
I made 2 different colors the way you did and then went at it. Made over 20 card size fronts ....a few of them just dragging across the shiny cardstock because I got tired of stamping LOL.
Those wipes are still going strong with no more added ink. I finally had to find something airtight to store in and play again another time.
Now if I could only get all this ink off my fingers😬
Hi Cheri! I am so glad you had fun with this technique! It's amazing how much mileage you get with those inked up baby wipes! The ink will come off your fingers, I promise (inky fingers are the sign of a true artist lol). You can also use plastic gloves to avoid getting ink on your skin. Thanks for leaving your comment! xx

I absolutely love all your videos. I'd love love to start stamping and making cards. But all the things it takes to even make one blows my mind!! I don't even know where to start. What do I need to start? How how to start with a budget? Your Awesome!!
Hi Kimberly. With all the techniques and products out there, stamping can certainly seem overwhelming when just starting out. But the key is to just keep it simple. All you need are stamps, ink and paper. My suggestion would be a stamp set with sentiments, a black ink pad, white and coloured card stock. You'll also need a paper trimmer, scissors and glue/adhesive. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have and help you get started. Feel free to pop me an email at serenestamper@gmail.com Stamping doesn't have to be expensive to get started and it's soooo much fun. I remember being exactly where you are right now. You're going to enjoy this new hobby for years to come!

Beautiful cards! Thanks for the reminder of a great technique. Put some painters tape with a long tail on your magnets- so much easier to pick them up.
Hi Ann. Thanks for your comments. Great idea about the painters tape - I'll try it. I used washi tape but it didn't work very well.
@@Serenestamper No - that was too thin and broke really easily. I have a nice wide purple tape on it and it has been holding great!
