This man used to blow bubbles mid-pitch. I got such a kick out of that as a young kid. I wish they had talked about that marathon game at Riverfront Stadium in July 1986. The one where Dave Parker dropped the final out that would’ve won the game for the Reds. Ray Knight punched Eric Davis square in the jaw and caused a huge brawl. Knight and Mitchell both got ejected and Gary Carter ended up playing third and making two spectacular plays. Meanwhile, Davey had Roger and Jesse switching between the mound and right field and gave Pete rose fits, because of the number of warm up pitches they were allowed. That one game sums up the entire 1986 season. It’s a Mets microcosm.

I remember that classic game. I also would've liked to hear about his fight against Greg Jefferies in 1989.
