The Mercedes new engine is the same numbers hp and tq. 255/295. But it has a single turbo and not the twin. The twin allows the torque to instant with no lag and once moving to 4000 rpm the second kicks in and it’s gone. My 5 series got 36 mpg on a trip once. I’m considering the 4 series convertible. That car is so well built and is a true 4 seat convertible which is very rare in the market. Looks amazing as well.

The 430i is a great vehicle but the 330i is better weight distribution however it is slower to 60 then the 430i. You can go either one Michael, they will fun 👍🏻
If you drive the m340i / m440i first then you will, coming from the x6 with 375 hp (xdrive40i) and over 5000lb curb weight you may not. As the 330i curb weight is almost 1500lbs lighter and the 430i gc is around 1200lbs lighter. The m440i gc is around 800lbs lighter so the 382hp will definitely feel the fastest in the comparison but .1-.2 seconds to 60 isn’t much of a different between the 330i /430i gc which is around the same speed as the base x6. And to be fair .5 seconds faster to 60 for over 10k (m440i gc) is a lot to digest. Off the line all are very close 👍
I own a 23 430 Grand Coupe. If you're leaning toward the 430, take it for a ride a night, and try turning down a dark street. If the car you're buying or thinking of buying doesn't have the $1000 adaptive headlight option, you won't have any cornering lights and that's not pleasant, IMO. I just assumed a $57,000 car would come with basic functionality. How silly of m. The 430 isn't a barn burner, but it has decent acceleration. Like all 4-cylinder cars it has a has a limited useful torque curve. There's not too much below 3k or above 5k. There's virtually no engine braking either, so depending on the type of driving you city or hgihway , you'll find you're using the brake a lot. The 430 I'm driving was purchased last qtr of 2022, and it has idrive7, which has been phased out. Idrive8 is considered the "current" os Idrive7 can't be upgraded to 8, idrive8 comes with wider screens and rumor has it, a better human interface as well.. BMW is already getting idrive9 ready for production. Make sure you're aware of the nuances. I'm not sure, but the 24s might come with DSG transmissions which would be a huge plus over what the '23 430s were shipped with. Warranty and maintenance coverage have also declined tremendously.

I loved that car but it had a problem that the dealer couldn't resolve,and the problem confounded the regional techs as well. When all was said and done, BMW told me the problem couldn't be resolved and asked me what I wanted to do. At the time, there was no replacement for the car, so BMW, without going through countless rounds of negotiations, volunteered to give me ALL of my money back, including reg fees and taxes. Even though the car turned out to be faulty, BMW still delivered a superior experience, and it was because of the way BMW dealt with the problem, I was convinced BMW had integrity and continued to buy BMW for the last 25 years. I'm convinced if the same problem happens in 2023 the resolution wouldn't be as painless, unfortunately. Make sure your customers know about the damned standard lights

Bought a well equipped CT5 Premium to hold me over when told it may take 6 months for allocation. When waiting 8 months and still no allocation the local BMW dealer had allocation for the new M440i. Wow !!! Am I glad I ended up with the BMW
Cross shopped this with 2022 VW Arteon SEL R-Line 4 Motion that I ultimately bought. I do not have the BMW grill nor cachet but like the VW since has features that are optional on the BMW. Thanks for the nice review!
Congratulations Doctor Robert, I just finished the 2023 Arteon sel R-line 4motion and that is a car. For the price and performance you receive, awesome, it’s faster than a m440i and features, you hit the spot, great vehicles. The 430i is a nice vehicle, lots of inside room and sporty 👍🏻.
I love my 2018 430i Gran Coupe. This one looks nice, but I really am not a fan of the all digital gauge cluster. I prefer the old analog version by a wide margin - new versions feel a bit cheaper in quality. Great car overall though.
I wasn’t a big fan of the screen but it has grown on me however if I was buying that wouldn’t be a factor. The build has improved, like the dashboard is now a sensatec material which doesn’t shrink like leather but I understand what your mean. Congrats with your 430i gran coupe they are awesome vehicles 👍

dont even look at Genesis - they wanted 1100 a month on a lease for a 50k car - they are ridiculous and the G70 wasnt even that nice
