I find the melody perfectly fits the touching lyrics, creating a piece of music that talks about death not necessarily in a particularly sad way, but rather in a surprisingly uplifting but in no way less poetic manner. You sure did it justice, your voice and guitar were great! I actually translated it into Italian a while back (with the help of an English translation, as I'm not proficient in Japanese), and I've just revamped it for the occasion: hope you like it!
