LESSON WITH ALEX BRAGG | with 5yo Robbie | Educating Young Horses

Today Lucy takes 5yo Robbie who arrived off a boat from Ireland nearly a year (lots of vlogs documenting buying and educating on our channel) go to a lesson with 5* eventer Alex Bragg.
Robbie is still pretty green as mostly been bought on slowly but anyone who watches this channel will see how he is getting more relaxed on his outings, calling less and getting more confident with new surroundings. As ever producing young horses, its a marathon and not a sprint and slow steady progress now will see a happy and healthier horse for the long term, which is always our aim.
Today we have a go at tricky lines, improving the paces through transitions and we have a small blip at the start of jumping!

Your channel is great to watch because we are both slightly older women and both aiming for 2*. For you, 2* is going to happen. For me, it's rather ambitious. Fingers crossed for both of us.

I have been trying to make it happen for many years! My closest was falling off at 2nd last fence sjing at 2*S having gone clear up to then 😭. I am just too stubborn to give up! You do need a decent amount of luck. I get so jealous of people who can be so consistent year after year but if you don’t quit, you haven’t given up!
