I must say Kashmir is one of my favourite places in the world...I have not been there for some time but it stays very close to my hart...thank you so much mate
Thank you sir for covering this All the tourists from abroad are heartfully warm welcomed That is kashmir known for it's beauty hospitality respect calmness love n natural beauty. Because of the misrepresentation of facts about our kashmir some people have made it hostile because of their own political and diplomatic gains.

Thanks 😊 for showing world what Kashmir is really like. Yes, it has two sides of coin, on one side it's heaven and on other side its hell made by Indian Authority. We welcomed and will always welcome friends like you from across borders to Kahsmir . Do once again visit.
thank you vicky :) yes I can see what you mean. even though i am a foreigner, it was interesting to see the situation and what is happening in Kashmir with my own eyes... it is no doubt a beautiful and unique place, like nowhere I have been, and I wish the peace that the region deserves to come soon

What an inspirational short movie. Kashmir is truely a heaven on earth. Always always go into the unknown, you don't know what magic and beauty it might show itself into 🙏🏼. Thank you Matthew for this amazing video.
Thank you so much bro🙏 glad you enjoyed the video. This all happened right before I met you in Varanasi! Kashmir is definitely a very special place and I hope to go back again one day soon
Yo, feels great that you had an amazing experience there. Love your work. You can also document how this conflict has affected the lives of common kashmiris there. Kashmir being the largest militarized zone in the world, there are alot of things that you gotta know.
thank you bro, I am glad you liked the video.... In my film I wanted to be very careful about what I said, and I did not choose any side or perspective. I do not know Kashmir and was simply an observer passing through and sharing my own experience. I have heard many things about the situation here and I have my opinions, but it is not my place to tell this story. Kashmir oppression and neglect of human rights makes me angry and I wish Kashmir the freedom and peace it deserves
There's certainly something about the place, I don't know exactly what it is, but it is something which has a magnetic alluring and a compelling force within. I Love Kashmir ♥️🇵🇰
This is well cool! Kashmir is beautiful place with great people. This reminds me of my visit to Mirpur a few years ago, on the other side in Pakistan. Subbed and following you on Insta, respect from Scotland 😁
thank you man! glad you enjoyed my video. Mirpur would have been an amazing adventure, I would love to explore the area more and venture out a bit further to that side next time
Man!! Beautiful little film as always! You've really got your own style now hey! I love that they made you a jacket too! That's the most wonderful gift, did you take it home?
Thank you bro glad you enjoyed 🙏 ! Yeah I feel like I have finally found some sort of decent balance between being present and documenting an experience! The action cam is the way to go hey. Yes the jacket was really special. In Kashmir they all wear this tradition clothing, it's called a phiran. Shanus mum is actually a tailor and was happy to make one for me. We went to the shop and bought some material, and she started straight away cutting and piecing it all together for me. Soon I had my own traditional Kashmir phiran, very special... I had bought a whole lot of other stuff like silk scarves and carpets and stuff to send home but apparently because of covid the post office in Srinagar has been shut for some time now. I hope I see it again one day
U should thank your stars for returning alive from that trek. Going up in the mountains overnight without adequate gear and equipment in the most cold season is definitely not a saner idea.
I was trekking with people that lived and knew about the area. We had 3 donkeys that carried all of our gear that we needed into the valley and I think that we were well prepared and warm..
@@matthewbirchmedia As a long time trekker I would consider the tent they were using and the heavy blankets u guys were carrying along, would have landed u in trouble if it had snowed. U need specific tents, -10 sleeping bags (which are light, handy and way much warmer). I have been to that place twice and I also live in Kashmir only. There are more beautiful hikes like this in the valley. Do visit again.
Glad you enjoyed man thank you! Yeah I think the narration helps to tell the story, and I am so grateful for how warm and welcoming the people I met were!
Continue making videos love this. So much heart
