I’ve got this same set up on my 2021 GMC Sierra with multi-pro tailgate to transport my 2019 Road Glide. “No” weight on the tailgate with some shimming of the polyurethane feet.
We tried it out at 650kg, like 1,500lbs I guess. Say your tailgate is 2' or 650mm long. If you shim it to get a 3/4" gap, or 20mm from the edge of the tailgate to the rear pad, then I'd say your tailgate will be fine.
@@neodyneloaders5410 I should’ve been clearer, I did shim the foot at the tailgate end of the bed, the foot on the tailgate just “kisses” the tailgate so all of the weight is supported by the bed. This is a great rig!!
Yes, that could work very well on bikes with no overhangs. However if you have long stacks or saddle bags, like on a Goldwing, the main ramp will need to be much longer to use a flip-up extender. But yeah, good idea!
The ramp clears the edge of the tailgate by roughly half an inch. You can see that clearly on the movie loop on our site. Anyway, as the bike is loaded, the alloy beams bow slightly and the gap is closed. Pressure on tailgate when loading a Fatboy is around 100kg/200lbs - will last a long time.
@@neodyneloaders5410 That's not very expensive, in fact, it is dirt cheap. Broken backs and damaged dropped motorcycles cost waaaay more, never mind the PTSD and embarrassment.
Yeah with the "generic" cordless it takes like 40 seconds. With a top of the range one you're looking at 25 seconds. If you need faster lifts, we can always add a starter motor to the worm drive, but it will cost, mostly in the installation of cables etc.

@@kenjohnson9472 Good stuff!
I would make an option to leave extension on and flip it up vertically/maybe help secure back wheel.

Wonder how long that tailgate will last with all that stress on it.

Will this fit in an 8' truck bed and allow the tailgate to close?
Yes, the ramps can be cut to custom lengths. For shorter beds we also have the AUN 250 ramp solution: th-cam.com/video/i2ajV86mzFk/w-d-xo.html
