    Nice! I've ordered some N scale cars and trucks from a Shapeways vendor. I'll have to use your video to paint them.

    Love the pens idea! I would just like to point out that resin dust is highly toxic so when sanding down the car the minimum is to do your best to not breathe it but the ideal would be to wear a mask.
    Resin kits and resin model add-ons are very common in the plastic model world (tanks, cars and airplanes) and there are modelers that actually died from breathing too much of that stuff.

      Thanks for the heads up. I'll be sure and wear a mask next time

    really nice job , why did you not paint the tires black and then add the silver on the hub cap areas? I use an old dried out micro brush and take off the brush part ...works really well. I like your format...Great job

    • @NoFear2473651
      @NoFear2473651  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I find it easier to use the raised edge of the rim to help guide the brush when painting the tire. Thanks for watching!

    Great how-to video, Korey! Thanks for sharing it on TH-cam.
    However, I will never own any of these types of vehicles because they all have solid, opaque plastic where TRUE (NOT pretend) transparent windows should be. If cast-plastic model makers would design road vehicles with actual cavities in the molds where windows are meant to be, then I would consider buying them.
    Meanwhile, I'll stick with road vehicles made by Classic Metal Works, TrainWorx, Atlas, Herpa, Wiking, and Wheels of Time. I'd even buy vehicles made by Oxford Models if they made them in U.S. N Scale (1:160) instead of in the larger British N Scale (1:144).
    Prototypical vehicle appearance remains extremely important to me, whether it be in scale size or transparent windows. I won't settle for anything less as a prototype N scale modeler.

      I agree, I was more after the fact that these cars are modern as I am more of a modern railroader but I agree that transparent windows are a lot more believable! Thanks for watching!

      @@NoFear2473651 hey so I used a spray paint on one car and the paint seems to be flaking a little. It kinda started clogging the micron pen. Have you every had that happen.
