Another good video. ‘Proper scheduling is not just good for you but also for your subcontractors”, a fact that many General Contractors overlook, or just don’t care about. Being observant, and listening to your subcontractors will make your job infinitely easier and the project will flow better. Your advice is sound and well received for those who want to learn the easy way. No labor dry-spells, and no labor stacking, just a smooth progression through the project. Not three steps forward and one step back. As for inspectors, I agree with everything you said. You will see them again in the future, and they will remember you, let them remember that you were honest, knowledgeable, respectful, and trustworthy. Be diplomatic when you have a difference of opinion.

Yep. Drywallers do tend to miss boxes! First one I ran into was a home we'd framed. The builder was trying to have marble backsplash installed and there was a bulge that he thought was a bad stud. Fortunately it was on an interior wall, so we cut the back side out, and saw the box. 😁
Got to work with the inspectors, whether they're right or wrong. 😉 Back in the day I knew a framer who had such a good record/rapport with the inspectors that they wouldn't even get out of their rig; just sign it off. 😁 Heard of another case where the fire marshal instructed an owner to clear the trees around the home site, then the building department told him that he'd violated the rules of the new "Scenic Area" by cutting the trees, so wouldn't let him finish the home, after it was half done. Don't know if it ever got built.
