The reason people hate those children's animated videos is that they're cynically made to game TH-cam's recommendation and monetization algorithms. A lot of them aren't even made by humans, but by artificial intelligence.
Why do so many people think those videos are AI generated? What do you think's cheaper, designing a fault-resistant procedural CG animation system or paying Indian techies slave wages? Also those aren't conscious dislikes, they're the result of toddlers slamming their tiny hands into mommy's iPad which is why there's a fairly even like/dislike ratio
The reason children's videos have such a crazy like to dislike ratio is because you have babies randomly hitting the screen. Most of the comments are just random letters from toddlers slapping their hands on the screen

Nah, the algorithm is smarter than that. If you do go to one of this videos and see a few seconds and close you will never see it again because you give it the signal "what the hell is that never even suggest anything near it again".

Out of curiosity, I went and watched the video of that Brazilian guy destroying his silver play button, and his reasoning was that "all it's good for is hanging up on a wall" and "he doesn't want to be limited to only 100k subscribers, he wants one million." I guess he tried to do it as some sort of statement? Trying to show that he can do better? But basically just made himself look like a douchebag.
I kinda feel bad that the IW trailer got so much hate despite actually being pretty good, but at least it resulted in Activision releasing MWR as a seperate title. Granted, they took their sweet ass time doing so, but it happened.

So the whole thing with the "Cortando o Botão do TH-cam" video was that this guy had nearly a million subs, so he just made this video basically saying "screw this 100k silver play button cause now I'm gonna get the golden one anyways". He destroyed his silver play button and people thought that was just very ungrateful of him.
People that think like that are kinda stupid. TH-camrs that get to be famous or successful do not owe anything to anyone. People often say things like "you pay your bills because of us!!!" or "you are so ungrateful with the platform that makes you earn money!" and it's very disgusting.
I agree, but at the same time, some of them don’t deserve hate, ones like Super Simple Songs or Cocomelon. I say that because in my opinion it doesn’t look super bad, and my baby brother watches it a lot. I mean, what if all the nursery rhyme videos went away. Then we wouldn’t have any cartoons to give to babies.
Those actually have a lot of dislikes by accident. My 5yo watches super simple songs and before they turned off comments most the comments would be nonsensical with addenda saying “oops my baby liked/disliked the video AND added a comment! Lol” just moms not watching their kids when they shove their phone in their faces in public to get them to shut up. We usually “like” the videos but the ones that are 60 min long and have like 20 or more ads I dislike because you’re a child’s channel with child’s videos.... any more than like FOUR is greedy! Especially because the kids will usually rewatch a million times. So they’re making plenty of $$$.
There are extensions that show how many dislikes there is, and if you search google for the most disliked videos you would still find an updated list, so I'd say it's still relevant, albeit dated.
I'm expecting it to include something referencing Apex. Which is to say, it's gonna be the same shit as the 2018 video but just replacing some people with more recent trend followers. Ugh.

I kind of question how such videos got into their feed in the first place as that would mean they click on a bunch of videos related to it ala the Family Guy Hole Theory. The only rational explanation I can come up with is that they share their TH-cam account with their toddlers, which in itself is a bs reason as they could just either give them their own seperete account or just use Kids TH-cam.
@@BigK13372, I'm pretty sure TH-cam just considers it all an interest in anything animated, so if you watch a clip from some original Loony Tunes or something from Family Guy, TH-cam thinks that kind of thing is the same as watching videos that are literally for babies. That's my guess on how that stuff keeps ending up in my suggestions. They don't differentiate from cartoons that adults would enjoy and cartoons that are the awkward annoying crap that entertains 2 year olds just by having moving colors and basic repetitive music. I also watch videos from youtubers like Mr Puzzle and Oskar about different kinds of complex physical puzzles and TH-cam considers that to be about toys, so it suggests those toddler-targeted videos of an adult opening, describing (in what, I assume, is the most irritating voice they can manage), and playing with toys based on shows from PBS kids and the like. So, basically TH-cam sucks at compartmentalizing.

I have a theory on the high dislikes for all the kids stuff. Parents, after being forced to listen to the same song over and over and over thousands of times finally snap. So they use the only form of retribution at their disposal: the dislike button.
That is wrong. I frequently go to a a daycare and a couple of years ago, my little sister was still in the baby stage of life. It is purely the result of every middle-class mother in the world giving their babies iPads and other tablets. They open the TH-cam app, and mash their fingers on the picture they like the most, and do that for literal hours on end. In addition, rewatching a video will give it another view. So, over the course of an hour, a baby, like my sister, would have clicked on over 100 videos in a loop, giving each Johnny Johnny Yes Papa in the world another six views.

I mean that just rewatching the same video again and again doesn't count because TH-cam looks at the IP Address to ensure it isn't spam. If the refreshes are made in a span of say, 4-7 hours, they probably wouldn't count. Again, I'm not sure. I had done a bit of research about this in the past. But I really don't remember now and I can't be bothered to look it up again.

Top 50 most disliked videos should be by dislike ratio. Otherwise it's basically just the top 50 most viewed videos, since inevitably a video with with millions of views is going to have a lot of dislikes.
The only problem with that is somebody with little to no subscribers could upload a video and dislike it, and suddenly they're holding the record for most disliked video ever.
That would work. You could just make a video no one has seen and have everyone dislike it. There needs to be some semblance of popularity otherwise it's be fucking easy to exploit

It's interesting how many wretched videos exist on this platform that never get the "dislike spotlight" because the volume of dislikes is too low (regardless of the ratio), yet those kid videos get the spotlight because babies are pressing the dislike button by accident. I think this video is fun and all that, but the more interesting topic is just keeping track of TH-cam's major controversies. At least there's feeling behind the dislikes.

The dislikes on the kids videos are probably partly because there's an obscene amount of little kids just watching video after video on their parents' devices with no concept of what any of it means and they're just pressing buttons at random.
This is the most likely answer, especially considering that the replies to these types of videos are often filled with non-sensical strings of random letters and the like.
That is the reason. These videos always have long, word-salad names because they are designed to game the TH-cam algorithm and ensure that they rise to the top. When kids are left alone with the iPad, they will constantly see these videos appearing in the recommended list, or auto-playing after the video they're watching, so a parent might put on Peppa Pig, but within a few minutes the child will have switched to one of these videos. Hence billions of views and a fairly evenly distributed like/dislike ratio from kids hitting buttons at random. You also see lots of gibberish in the comments, kids accidentally commenting :-)
I think Portuguese is technically considered a Hispanic language since the Roman province of Hispania covered the entire Iberian peninsula and not just modern day Spain. It's not exactly clear one way or the other in terms what the US government considers to be Hispanic though, since the census can count anyone who considers themselves to be Hispanic as such. If they do remove the dislike button, that essentially means that TH-cam's shitty rewind 2018 video will always be the most disliked video on TH-cam. While that would be a fitting punishment in my eyes, I also don't want them to remove the dislike button because I kinda like free speech, if someone uploads a video people don't like, then they should have to learn from that and try and do better next time.
I'd argue that one can't really consider the like-dislike system to be helpful in any way, since they're just conclusions but without everything that supports the conclusions. Creators can't learn from them since the system alone lacks reasoning, so they're basically useless compared to other analytics tools or even comment sections.

I was a part of the ‘hate train’ as a kid when Justin beiber was at his peak, and looking back on it now I really don’t think he deserved it. He was just a young kid (14-15) singing songs he was told to sing by his company, and everyone jumped on the hate bandwagon- including myself for a long time, and only recently have I viewed it differently. As a kid he hadn’t really done anything. His actions now are a whole other story, but if you think about how all that hate could mess up a kid, it really puts it into prospective. Imagine being the most hated person on TH-cam/the internet. That’d mess me up honestly.
I became under the impression that he had matured a few years ago. I don't keep up with his actions at all, not even back then; but I saw a clip of him being swarmed by the paparazzi. When he tried to drive away, he accidentally nicked one of them. He actually stopped, got out, and made sure the guy was okay. And of course the rest of the paparazzi keep taking pictures. He asks "Have you gotten enough?" to which one replies with "No, turn left a little bit." He ends it with "Unbelievable..." I don't know if he's done anything else of note, and I don't really care at this point, but I kind of respect him for responding like that.
Thank you for admitting that! I know how easy it is to hate on people these days, when we might not see what they are really going through. One of my problems with modern "music" is that all these younger singers like Ariana Grande and the like get/have gotten way too much fame and exposure to the world's ways, and it almost certainly messes with a person. Taylor Swift is one of the best examples for me of someone slowly getting corrupted to the point that it seems like they aren't even the singer whom you once liked anymore. Best keep them all in our prayers.

The whole reason Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare got so many dislikes was because everyone was sick of them rehashing the "Futuristic" setting, people wanted them to go back to their WW1&2 roots and with the reveal of battlefield One everyone boarded the hate train and disliked the video.
I think COD:IW was the one that got the hate because that was also the game Activision forced people to preorder the deluxe edition of in order to get Modern Warfare Remastered, before they eventually released it separately.

So the whole thing with the "Cortando o Botão do TH-cam" video was that this guy had nearly a million subs, so he just made this video basically saying "screw this 100k silver play button cause now I'm gonna get the golden one anyways". He destroyed his silver play button and people thought that was just very ungrateful of him.
Then he gained millions of subscribers because of that. Best negative marketing ever.
People that think like that are kinda stupid. TH-camrs that get to be famous or successful do not owe anything to anyone. People often say things like "you pay your bills because of us!!!" or "you are so ungrateful with the platform that makes you earn money!" and it's very disgusting.

My 5yo watches super simple songs and before they turned off comments most the comments would be nonsensical with addenda saying “oops my baby liked/disliked the video AND added a comment! There are extensions that show how many dislikes there is, and if you search google for the most disliked videos you would still find an updated list, so I'd say it's still relevant, albeit dated.

@@BigK13372, I'm pretty sure TH-cam just considers it all an interest in anything animated, so if you watch a clip from some original Loony Tunes or something from Family Guy, TH-cam thinks that kind of thing is the same as watching videos that are literally for babies. That's my guess on how that stuff keeps ending up in my suggestions. They don't differentiate from cartoons that adults would enjoy and cartoons that are the awkward annoying crap that entertains 2 year olds just by having moving colors and basic repetitive music.
I also watch videos from youtubers like Mr Puzzle and Oskar about different kinds of complex physical puzzles and TH-cam considers that to be about toys, so it suggests those toddler-targeted videos of an adult opening, describing (in what, I assume, is the most irritating voice they can manage), and playing with toys based on shows from PBS kids and the like. So, basically TH-cam sucks at compartmentalizing.

I have a theory on the high dislikes for all the kids stuff. Parents, after being forced to listen to the same song over and over and over thousands of times finally snap. So they use the only form of retribution at their disposal: the dislike button.
That is wrong. I frequently go to a a daycare and a couple of years ago, my little sister was still in the baby stage of life. It is purely the result of every middle-class mother in the world giving their babies iPads and other tablets. They open the TH-cam app, and mash their fingers on the picture they like the most, and do that for literal hours on end. In addition, rewatching a video will give it another view. So, over the course of an hour, a baby, like my sister, would have clicked on over 100 videos in a loop, giving each Johnny Johnny Yes Papa in the world another six views.

The dislikes on the kids videos are probably partly because there's an obscene amount of little kids just watching video after video on their parents' devices with no concept of what any of it means and they're just pressing buttons at random.
This is the most likely answer, especially considering that the replies to these types of videos are often filled with non-sensical strings of random letters and the like.
I thought it was because of garbage accounts pretending to be kids vids (but we're actually creepy groomer vids), a la TH-cam Kids from 2016.
I also wouldn't be surprised if a chunk of them were the parents genuinely baffled by why their kids enjoy this crap 😂
That is the reason. These videos always have long, word-salad names because they are designed to game the TH-cam algorithm and ensure that they rise to the top.
When kids are left alone with the iPad, they will constantly see these videos appearing in the recommended list, or auto-playing after the video they're watching, so a parent might put on Peppa Pig, but within a few minutes the child will have switched to one of these videos. Hence billions of views and a fairly evenly distributed like/dislike ratio from kids hitting buttons at random. You also see lots of gibberish in the comments, kids accidentally commenting :-)

I think Portuguese is technically considered a Hispanic language since the Roman province of Hispania covered the entire Iberian peninsula and not just modern day Spain. It's not exactly clear one way or the other in terms what the US government considers to be Hispanic though, since the census can count anyone who considers themselves to be Hispanic as such. But other than that you always have Spanish-Native creole languages, which are not likely used in the video but they do exist.

If they do remove the dislike button, that essentially means that TH-cam's shitty rewind 2018 video will always be the most disliked video on TH-cam. While that would be a fitting punishment in my eyes, I also don't want them to remove the dislike button because I kinda like free speech, if someone uploads a video people don't like, then they should have to learn from that and try and do better next time.
I'd argue that one can't really consider the like-dislike system to be helpful in any way, since they're just conclusions but without everything that supports the conclusions. Creators can't learn from them since the system alone lacks reasoning, so they're basically useless compared to other analytics tools or even comment sections.

I was a part of the ‘hate train’ as a kid when Justin beiber was at his peak, and looking back on it now I really don’t think he deserved it. He was just a young kid (14-15) singing songs he was told to sing by his company, and everyone jumped on the hate bandwagon- including myself for a long time, and only recently have I viewed it differently.
As a kid he hadn’t really done anything. His actions now are a whole other story, but if you think about how all that hate could mess up a kid, it really puts it into prospective. Imagine being the most hated person on TH-cam/the internet. That’d mess me up honestly.

I became under the impression that he had matured a few years ago. I don't keep up with his actions at all, not even back then; but I saw a clip of him being swarmed by the paparazzi. When he tried to drive away, he accidentally nicked one of them. He actually stopped, got out, and made sure the guy was okay. And of course the rest of the paparazzi keep taking pictures. He asks "Have you gotten enough?" to which one replies with "No, turn left a little bit." He ends it with "Unbelievable..." I don't know if he's done anything else of note, and I don't really care at this point, but I kind of respect him for responding like that.
Thank you for admitting that! I know how easy it is to hate on people these days, when we might not see what they are really going through. One of my problems with modern "music" is that all these younger singers like Ariana Grande and the like get/have gotten way too much fame and exposure to the world's ways, and it almost certainly messes with a person. Taylor Swift is one of the best examples for me of someone slowly getting corrupted to the point that it seems like they aren't even the singer whom you once liked anymore. Best keep them all in our prayers.

The whole reason Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare got so many dislikes was because everyone was sick of them rehashing the "Futuristic" setting, people wanted them to go back to their WW1&2 roots and with the reveal of battlefield One everyone boarded the hate train and disliked the video.
I think COD:IW was the one that got the hate because that was also the game Activision forced people to preorder the deluxe edition of in order to get Modern Warfare Remastered, before they eventually released it separately.
