FYI for Charlie regarding the dive timer on the submariner, nobody would ever use it to determine how much time they have because there’s no such thing, if you panic and start to breath fast for example you go through a tank way faster than usual. The timer functionality is just solely for timing the dive, nothing to do with oxygen 😁
You're right, cold water being a huge factor in consumption. It's to measure bottom time, which is the amount of time you can spend at your target depth according to the dive table you are using (PADI, NAUI, and the USN dive tables vary slightly) and corrected for your prior dive saturation.

Charlie needs an actual diver to teach him what the bezel on a dive watch is for- but he's not alone, nearly every watch dealer, most internet sites and "experts", and even some manufacturers think it's for remaining air or total dive time, it's not. It's for bottom time and deco stops, or tank changes on mixed gas. And it's actually a count UP timer, except for a few rare exceptions where the numbers run counterclockwise instead. The Tudor Pelagos, for example. Or one of my personal favorites, the Christopher Ward Makaira Pro. And a count DOWN timer is actually more useful since you don't have to remember, say, that you were originally trying to time 22 minutes. Under water 160' and possibly narced, that would be a bad thing to forget. Seven minutes usually flies by and every diver I know uses a computer as well, but the less you have to remember the better IMO.
What are thoughts on Anthony Farrer (TPG) traveling alone with a 15 year old boy and sharing a hotel room and bed with the kid ? That guy is a child predator , I’d like to see other dealers come out and speak out against him preying on young boys.
That ocean drop comment: my mom lost her all gold factory diamond markers datejust (or maybe op, i honestly don't remember) in the ocean without realizing it until she got out, so who knows for how long, and my brother found it. He also found my dad's sunglasses in the ocean on another trip when the waves were crashing.
@Oliver Hernandez he just kept searching. We didn't even know where she was when she lost it exactly just that she hadn't gone too deep and like a 20ft side search area. It was incredible. It took him about 45 minutes. Honestly though the sunglasses were more impressive because he caught them coming in on a wave.

I think she's learning something valuable in the watch business- you have to trade for inventory that you can move, trading for a watch that is worth more but that you can't find a buyer for puts you into a dead-end. She needs to be open to trading "down" to a more popular watch that has a lower dollar value if necessary.

There’s another well known watch TH-camr who decided to keep a Frankenwatch for himself worth $50K in order to “protect the public”. He’s getting a lot of backlash and he’s response is “sue me”.
Charlie understand this, the losses are short term, the bigger picture isn’t how you start the year, it’s how you finish the year, you’ll finish the year covering the losses by making a bigger yearly profit.
