Hi chris I had an iveco and it started struggling on the starter , I put a new earth direct from the battery to the starter , problem solved . On your tipper the batteries are on the near side and the starter motor is on the offside. The tipping mechanism is providing a earth return path from one chassis rail to the other . The battery earth is connected to the nearside chassis rail and the starter /engine is connected to the offside rail. The crossmembers are probably rusty so are high resistance. Put a new earth from the battery direct to the engine.
I think about death everyday at 41 years old, lost my father and two brothers, countless friends. I probably wouldn't think about it so much if I didn't have kids. It really does give me appreciation for every day I get on this earth. I refuse to be miserable no matter how much outside forces want me to be. 😆
Oh mate you’ve had a rough one! As you said all you can do is smile and push on Wayne! We’ve got snow here now…. Not bad like your end mate we don’t have to get the snow ploughs out but still hinders work ect

At 62 I have lost a lot of friends both young and old. I keep their funeral pictures on a wall in my work shed. Don’t tell no one but at times I talk to them. Lol😢
Yeah it is a shame mate! Would be interesting to see how they got on in everyday life back then, ay Jerry you talk away to them… eldest they can’t argue with ya 😂😂☃️

Hi chris,an 8 wheel tipper i drove developed a fault of having nearly flat batteries every morning & if cold enough it failed to fire into life, after fitting new batteries it was virtually the same, but nearly always started allday long after the cold start, just before fitting a new starter motor we started it up in the dark to reverse into the workshop & a workmate, spotted sparks falling from under the truck, turned out to be gearbox earth strap, the box had been out & away to wakefield for repair 2 weeks previous & our fitter must have finger tightened the strap bolt, got destracted, came back & not tightened it." Had a similar issue with a bad earth earth strap to engine/gearbox it had broken off. It was using the body for earth through the hydraulic hoses to PTO !.
Engine is earthed to one side of the chassis and battery is earthed to the other, so using the tipper bush on cyl/hyd tank to get between chassis rails! What has Al installed to make the mirrors flash at a different time to the indicators? Trick is that!

It's right what you say about death....I sometimes think I'll call me mum, then realise she not here. She's been gone for nearly 9 years. On a lighter note........air fresheners smell grand.... 😎😎😎😎
Hi pal. Brakes on them are never any issue really. Full air. I’d check paperwork make sure the details entered are correct and the weight readings on the axle. Your brakes might have been warmer if the first brake test was further away. No lsv anymore due to it being on abs. That plug you mentioned was the abs solenoid valve. The sparks you see are due to the earth cable from the chassis to the starter motor. Be poor connect on cable or through the starter body. Engine is earthed through the starter All best pal. Keep struggling on
Yeah double checked the info. As you said I’ve since found out it works of the ABS and foot brake position…. Over complicated for an old gal mate! Thanks for the advice mate I’ll do that 👍 stay warm Mark 🥶☃️☃️🤠
Hi Chris. Another day and another struggle and your still smiling and happy. When you was talking about the funerals you have been. I do the same, just going see me dad then realise he gone. Have good weekend Chris 👍
Where the body hinges on the chassis there should be an earth cable it will need cleaning. Or if there isn’t one try a jump lead to see if it stops before putting one on. What thread is the hydraulic filter give us some details on that.
Yeah it’s got no strap com chassis to body and never has had one by the looks of things, might have to put one on it, as for that thread mate I’ve left it at partic now see if they can get one 👍 cheers chox 🥶☃️

I hope to get to Truckfest to see you this year, looking forward to it. Keep up the struggle and keep SMILING.😁👍
Load sensing valves are history .DAF on the LF use EBL electronic brake limitation...When you start to press the brake ,the system monitors wheel speed and if the differential slip is too high it means the rear axle is overbraking...The abs valves to the rear axle then do their bit and the slip between the front and rear axles is decreased ..There is also the EBL pressure sensor switch
That’s answered all my questions mate thanks never knew they worked like that! Bit over complicated for an old gal if you ask me! I’ve put more load on it and it seems better so weather or not it’s getting wrong signal from the computer I don’t know, is there anyway of upping the pressure out that valve because if you disconnect it it locks up perfect? Thanks again norb 👍👍
For it to spark like that it's gotta be a big load, you wouldn't get sparking like that with just a few lights. I think the other comment has nailed it; battery earth is on one chassis rail and the starter is on the other chassis rail and current is going through the joins which are Rusty etc so bad connection so sparking. An earth between the rails would probably solve it.

Hi Chris I reckon your service brake issue will be the pads even tho they look good have it all the time on daf cf units when loaded fit new pads all passes OK 👍
That sparking when starting suggests to me a bad engine earth, I would be checking that or run an earth cable from battery to engine. Back when I was a teen I did a clutch on my van, forgot to put the earth back and two days later the clutch cable went. It was melted as that was where the engine was getting its earth. As for lack of load sensing valve, do they still have them now with ABS as I would have thought that would have taken the role of preventing lock up when unloaded.
Yeah good idea there Chris! That’s a nightmare mate just shows you how much current it’s use if on start up! Yeah I’ve found out that it works of the ABS sensors and ware the brake peddle position is! Over complicated again mate

@@Professional-struggler 6 to 10" overnight here and apparently it's -9 tonight so the stuff that's thawing will be ICE by midnight. I don't think the beemer will be moving for the next 48 hrs ...back in the shogun and sand tyres! Be safe mate. Keep that lower back covered
Great video, flashing strobes are ok but you needs sparks flying from under the struggle bus....!, that would be impressive....lol
😂😂 I agree mate …. We need the next level lightning ⚡️
Hi Chris the iveco look like they get hard life regards
Yeah them skip lorry’s get abused mate
You could do a strugglers drink with a dodgy ring pull that comes off 😂👍
Hey Chris, could you rig up a temporary earth from the body with a jump lead and see if the sparking stops ?
Yeah good idea mate 👍 I’ll give that a go
Hi Chris I reckon your service brake issue will be the pads even tho they look good have it all the time on daf cf units when loaded fit new pads all passes OK 👍
Yeah I’ve had it where they go hard but park was ok, think I’ve sorted it now by putting more load on which sound strange but it’s a better reading
Chris have you finished spraying that VAN hahahaha
🤐🤐🤐🤐
Hi Chris…..I felt you’re sheer disappointment and lack of enthusiasm, as soon as you said….it’s an Iveco…..lol. Struggle on mate 👍💪🇮🇲. Ps I think you entered a parallel universe where that skip lorry just looked old and tatty….😂
😂😂 poor lorry’s can’t win with me mate! Be annoyed if there was loads of faults and still annoyed when I can’t find any 😂😂

Hi Chris, good video as usual, my daughter came across a video she made with my mum who died 5 years ago, brought a tear to my eye watching it .
Does make you think about death doesn't it .
Good video of the spark 👌 , don't fill up at any petrol stations till it is fixed !!!!!! 👍 .
Any ETA on the hoody front???? Regards uncle Franko
Yeah good bit of advice on the fuel mate 💥💥 I’ve told Luke to put a sticker in there for you but was unsure of your name so he’s put it in the only one named Frank? Hope it’s you mate

@@unclefranko2452 thanks uncle Franco I’ll put the money to something good I promise 🤣🤠👍
You remind me of my dad's old mechanic, he was called chris
Keep Them memories alive chris of ppl who have passed 🙏🏻 death is a part of life .
Might be bad earth from starter and is arcing to another part of the body that has a good earth. Size of the sparks, it must be a big draw which would be the starter.
Yeah the earth is on the stater ok but wonder if it’s not got a good contact I’ll check that thanks Matt 👍👍
Fecken brilliant 👍 top man 🔩
😂 thanks mate 👍
Chris I reckon your struggle drink should look like antifreeze but taste like something like advocate 🍵.and you deffo need a red strobe like Kitt from on Knightrider on the front of the strugglebus
