    Add a plastic ski that can snap in for when you're in thick snow.... single ski-mode... The whole idea is great for hiking with infants or toddlers.

    Hello Nate, I wanted to let you know that I was able to resolve my "fatmate" situation. I appreciate your effort in bringing this matter to Kai's attention. Kai remedied the situation quickly. I am happy to contribute to the kickstarter campaign and cannot wait to get that monowalker into the back-country. Thank you again for your effort in forwarding my concerns to Kai...really happy to have you as the monowalker representative for North America...will let you know how it goes. Thx

    Je suis surpris pour se type de matériel, finalement! Je trouve se concept nouveau très pratique surtout avec les charges lourdes! Merci pour la vidéo très instructive. Un abonné de France.

    It looks like it's definitely going to be an awesome product brother. I just don't know if I have the need for it at this time. If I went on really long or extended camping trips it would definitely fill a niche for sure. But most of my outings as of late have just been day hikes at best. But with your endorsement if I ever find myself needing one I will definitely purchase one of these. Thanks for sharing brother.

    As a prospector on a hobbyist point of view I can see the walker playing into carrying my water pump and sluce box pans hose ect and still have room to bring back my concentrates back with me with less effort. Instead of slinging on my back. Thanks again.

    I'm a back packer and I also do allot of volunteer single track trail work. Depending on the project it varies from hauling in chain saws, tools & building materials. This Mono walker is huge in making that task much easier. I pitched it the other day to some folks and they agreed. I see so many different things I could with this, that's it's now a must have. Also it looks like the swing arm was tig welded too, nice. Though I would slap a few layers of Gorilla tape on the sides of it for a little more protection. Great demo CP, it was excellent. Thank you

      That's the great thing with this malleable platform, I'd that its open to augmentation by the owner. The customization potential is endless.

      You can say that again it pretty awesome. I could spend hours over brain storming what I could do as tool & saw mounts. Or something for this geo grid stuff we install. Gotta start saving my pennies for it.

    Nate, well done. I am impressed. regardless of what anyone says, when an entrepreneur can materialize an idea, and make it profitable , there is hope for mankind.
    at this stage, I believe that versatility and marketing are key. I believe that your primary market is the $50k to $100K a year individuals and families. make it a load-bearing apparatus and you will have support from the fitness group. add a single and double child seat, with some safety alterations, and you can take half of the parent taxi markets.
    I wish you well. keep thinking outside of the box, and you'll be just fine. thank you Nate.

    Hi Nate, suffice to say I 've really enjoyed your input as a prepper...I've watched most of your videos and was motivated to purchase a fatmate in September of last year (2015)...I have yet to receive it...I was very happy to hear that you're the north-American representative for the Monowalker. I have tried a few times to communicate with Kai Fuchs regarding the delay in delivery...he seems like a nice guy and genuine, but I've felt frustrated with my attempts to communicate with him and still do NOT know when to expect delivery even now. For what it's worth, as a prepper myself and an avid outdoors guy I am completely sold on the concept...so much so that I'm honestly considering the purchase of 2 additional units ((for a total of 3 units...1 purchased in 2015 and 2 more via the new kickstarter effort in 2016)) but I'm a bit put off as a result of the "significant" delay in delivery of the 1st unit that was purchased last year (September 2015). This will sound stupid since I don't really know you and I can't remember exactly when I started perusing your channel (I'm probably approaching the 1 year mark give-or-take a little) but I have been impressed with the integrity of your character and you have motivated me to take some elements of my prepping much much more seriously (personal physical fitness, etc). I have come to trust you...and I appreciate your willingness to put yourself out there and take the risk of exposing your identity, etc...if you know what I mean. Personally, the level of distrust that I have for government, etc has made it difficult for me to take that risk myself...like you, I have a young family and I just cannot reconcile that kind of risk at this point in time. Again, this sounds so sappy but I think that you have been quite courageous in choosing to accept that risk yourself and I sincerely hope that the decision to do so does not bring any harm to you or yours...sorry, I've really gone off on a tangent here. Can you help me with my Monowalker situation...if I can get your personal assurances in regards to prompt delivery I will be willing to take that leap of faith and purchase an additional 2 units (I would really like to see this 2nd kickstarter campaign be successful)...let me know...my email is astridethecacophony@gmail.com

      +Canadian Prepper i have to agree. kickstarting is well and good but your audience (from reading some comments) is skeptical since it's a new concept. I guess just be careful of patents and be sure your idea is protected or the big guns will re-design/invent it and call it their own with all their mega $$$ and lawyers to say it was their idea.

    Hey, C Prepper. Thanks for all of the info in the Monowalker. I am very interested because im much older then you but and a disabled Veteran (USAF). Ive never let my disabilities get me down, and I love getting way out in the outback by myself or with a similar minded friend. I hope that you get the funding for the project. I am on a very tight financial monthly life style but will try to get together the funds to support at the first Monowalker stage. But the time is running up fast. I've never done this type of support funding method a little more info on how and when the money is taken and used or returned if the project goes bust would be nice. Thanks again. I enjoy your though full personal insight on the world situations. Your equipment testing is interesting and very helpful. Thanks again

      Hi, this is Kai from Monowalker Design. The Monowalker Fatmate will cost you around 799 USD, plus shipping 95 USD. Import cost to USA around 60 USD, depending where you are . As soon the campaign is successful, the money you pledged will be substracted from your credit card. Thats around 22.nd of April. If the campaign is not successful, no money with be substracted from your credit card.

    • @jzahirniak
      @jzahirniak 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Kai Fuchs What drives the $60 import cost on that thing? I order all sorts of stuff out of China and Europe and with few exception there are no import fees. Nothing about this should be subject to customs fees. It is something on the export side there in Germany?

    I respect your opinions enough that you have convinced me to purchase one of these on kick-starter...EVEN though I backed a past crowd funding for a tech product 2 years ago (for $2500) AND it back fired, ...I received the products 30 days after its public sales release ,(which were slightly cheaper than what I paid, so I had to sell all units at a loss).
    I like the product concept and would buy one regardless, however if it comes out cheaper to the public, when available..it will affect your credibility and kick-starters as well...hope this goes well.

    • @CanadianPrepper

      I have been negotiating to get the price point to a more reasonable level for some time. It really is a manufacturing cost issue. With all manufacturing the more that's produced than typically production costs decrease so at some point the price will inevitably come down, whether that's 1 year or 5 years or never is an unknown at this point really depend on how much interest is generated. We do appreciate the support and because its such a small company you'll have a direct line of communication with the company owner and yours truly.

      AND if you ever really want to test a wilderness prototype, you can always come on a hike through the 1000 acres of cedar swamp and beaver ponds on our hunting camp in Ontario...open invite!

      @kaifuchs9354 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, no concerns about the price at kickstarter. Its already 10 % under the retail price. I am from bike industry and a purchaser . I know the manufacturing process very well and have good sources. But believe me, its not a question of numbers in that case. Its a question of quality and where you like to produce a product . You may go to Vietnam or China ( I was working in China) and you know what you will get. I trust only suppliers with long year experiences and with good reputation in the market. Have a look at www.kong.it and you know who is making my harness. And then you may imagine the price only for the harness. Its not made in China. The same with the trailer and the bag. We are producing a high end product that has its price, because of the manufacturing process. Best Kai

      I will give you a couple of pointers. 2 wheels instead of one to stabilize the thing,. Use no flat tires. Reverse the direction of the frame holding the wheel so it's higher as well as allowing the load to rest more on the axle than person. Also consider a ski attachment such as you see on bush planes for the winter. Hope that helps.
