Thanks Gareth! Not sure if I deserve all the "hype". This is my hobby and I really enjoy do these videos. I don't have that proper "youtube banter" and need to get more comfortable with the camera. Not in a rush. Just happy to be part of this nice community. Thank you all for your support ;)
Literally trying to figure out this same issue on mine. Had new gearbox oil and molyslip added today (slight improvement) but think this is defo the next mod. Great clip fella cheers.
@@FN2OPS nah Honda hq are doing it all. Need to put a longer final drive in for the turbo to go in. Got a box of stuff for them too fit. Fingers crossed we get it all done
You might be able to just take out the Piston that way you don't have to be in the Hardline remove everything inside the clutch dampener and reassemble with gasket maker.. watch out for a tapping noise though in between each gear....
Do you know if both ends of the bypass hose are conv flares? I see on the clutch damper it is a conv flare, but is it the same on that other hose that is on the damper?
Hi I got this mod done today but when driving hard home from garage my gear changes were very difficult although when driving normally the gears were perfect, my mechanic thinks I might need to bleed the clutch again does that sound right to u? Thanks for the cool video buddy
@@FN2OPS I thought it was the clutch pedal, but still got the same noise and feeling after I sprayed some ceramic grease on it. It happened after the bypass hose.
Hi mate great content i really enjoy what you do ! I'm planning on doing this on my fn2 type r gt 2007 that I just bought Would it be the same to do on mine as yours ? And can you explain what exactly I must remove if you know that is! thanks Gerry 👍
Somebody did some bad measuring if they got that result. The only way the travel distance could change is if the diameter of one of the two pistons was changed and removing the damper does not do that. The only thing that makes any difference at all when considering how far the slave cylinder's piston will move is how much fluid is pushed by the master cylinder. If you remove the slave cylinder and take it apart to remove the damper and then put the cylinder back together and return it to the car it will not change by a single drop how much fluid the master cylinder pushes when the pedal is depressed and that exact same amount of fluid will move the piston in the slave cylinder exactly the same distance.
Hi mate, agree what you're saying. This is only supposed to bypass the damper so when the pedal retracts back to position 0 does it faster. The motion also has changed and i feel the pedal more "direct".
@@FN2OPS oh ok, that's strange, I just fitted mine and when I change gears at high rpms there's a vibrating on the clutch pedal and changes the engine note 🤷🏻♂️
If you talking about the “bitting” point yeah. Minute @8:40 I talk about that. If unsure just make sure if there isn’t any air bubbles in the line by re-bleeding it.
The part you had to disconnect with that spanner tool at 6minutes in the video, do you unscrew it? Or just pull it? Or is it a clip? Do let me know please, ive only got pliers that would fit that part and dont wanna damage it
One of the best and most under rated channels on youtube, you really do deserve more followers man. Incredible video and your such a nice guy too

Thanks for watching mate. Happy could help ❤️
Yet again another great video. Love how honest you are in your reviews
Thanks mate! Much appreciated
Great video. 👍🏻 Would this help with smooth out notchy gear selection?
Thank you for this video. Very informative. Very cool videos on your channel!
Much appreciated mate!
I've got one of these to fit so this has helped me to plan my next moves! Cheers
No worries happy this helps!
I have this too fit in a couple of weeks. I’m getting Honda hq to put mine in as they have the box out for a change over

Yep this might be some air bubbles on you clutch line. I would bleed it again.
@@FN2OPS thank you for the reply buddy, top man!!
@@gazzermooney you’re welcome man. Hope this sort it out the issue 💪
Do you feel something 'cracking' when pressing the pedal? It feels like two dry rubber rubbing against eachother in the pedal to my foot lol.
Not crackling no. Ha d a Squeakynoise but it was due the cluch pedal assembly (common on these)

Exactly the same procedure mate. You will remove the damper and by pass it with the line.
8:40 this "bit of play" is the biting point?
i.e the point at which the clutch engages and starts to pull the car.
👍 for the video
Yes exactly the biting point 🤣 cheers for watching mate

Plan on doing this i have heavy duty clutch and lightn fly wheel, will it help with clutch shuddering when taking off?
Yep it should improve
Hi sorry for being stupid what do you do with the bigger house the one with the 14mm bolt. Thanks Tom
from top of my head you dont need that hose anymore as it is part of the damper
What are these seat wraps?
they are seat covers from Amazon. Not the best fitment tho
Do get any vibrations in the clutch pedal when shifting at max rpms?

It’s a clip like in the rear break calipers. You can you a flat head screw driver or some pliers.

@@Suj1416 then you need a flares spanner to remove the line. Convencional spanner will not work

What does this do
I explain it in the beginning of the video. Basically improves the pedal clutch engagement (feeling). Yep r helps with with quicker shifts.
