Sounds about right, I did both lower arms on my sister in law’s Zoe, garage quoted them £500 which I thought was very reasonable but the parts were only £130 for decent ones. It’s a weakness. Will soon look at a ze50 to see if it’s been updated. Cheers
@@garycevrepairs I'd be super interested to know if the ZE50 is any better. We swapped our 22kwh Zoe for an MG ZS, which to be fair, has given us zero issues, but somehow I still miss the Zoe.
Had the Zoe ZE40 2019 since April this year, second hand, Renault changed the right lower arm suspension, 3 months later my tires were worn down to the metal so had it checked again and both suspension arms needed replacing including the new one. I do delivery in it so do up to 100 miles per day but suspension arms really let's it down lol
@@owmasters2138 out of interest - do you regularly have to navigate speed bumps? Our Zoe faced speed bumps twice a day on the school run. I don't think they were ever taken at excessive speed, but I now take speed bumps much slower, even though we don't have the Zoe any more. You can see how even moderate speed could damage suspension quickly if it's not really rated for the job.
@@MrWobling Yes anywhere between 20-50 of them per day! I tend to try to go slow over them. It may mean I have to get the arms replaced 3 or so times per year. I wouldn't want to do the job in our Tesla, need something small and nippy so the Zoe is good for that. Other than the suspension issues that car has been great and the range is decent!
We ran a 22kwh Zoe for 4 years. We spent more on suspension repairs than we did on electricity during that time.
