Thank you Caroline and Zoar! It is difficult to find the words for my awe and gratefulness I have towards my Murphybrown. He came into my life 1 year ago and is waking me up. I am a survivor of both parents sexual , physical and emotional trauma. Jesus opened His hand and gave me this horse to teach me what happiness feels like, to be loved, trusted and respected. To feel free and confident. To be me and that is enough. I treat him the way I longed to be treated. We play, we dance on line, at liberty and riding. He picks me up by gently touching his ribs to mine and we ride, flow bareback with a rope halter. When I touch him it is the only time I do not feel emotional pain. Thank you for allowing me to share my healing journey🙏🐎💞❤

Hi Caroline, Thank you for making relationship a valid thing. This is probably one of the first comments I have ever written on TH-cam. I am a workaholic, micromanager, and am trying to relax, which is easier said than done. Bringing this weight to the barn has ruined several partnerships I tried to have with really, really nice horses. The moment I feel I am in the way of the horses future, I let them go. These horses have gone on to very successful lives with their new owners, who are my friends who know the horses intimately. My husband is looking to retire this coming year, and I am trying to rewire myself to be ready for this change, TH-cam has been an invaluable resource to find people like you, who understand what I am writing here. My first love is dressage, but have turned to endurance because, as you said in this video, no clinician could help you - or me - find the relaxation and connection, only more drilling and force. Technically, I am a pretty advanced rider, but have so much feel, probably too much actually, to be content with even a little bit of negative energy. And not the way to let it go. Just more tension, and that eventually took away all the joy. Our new home has a lovely area to put in an outdoor arena, and I just love your outdoor, especially the one rail fence. If you are reading this, what are the dimensions of your arena?

Hi Michelle and Welcome! I would love to be a part of your journey back to horses when you retire. My MasteryMembership Riding Foundation Program would be your roadmap and show you how to relax, connect and re-wire yourself. It follows classical riding and combines it with Tai Chi, creating the most amazing oneness between you and your horse. The program develops a solid level 2 in dressage, bitless and bareback. Please click here for details www.taoofhorsemanship.com/masterymembership.
