Fr I got on the R211T yesterday and it was mad dirty with bird poop and streak marks everywhere.. Even the R44's are much cleaner than the R211T's on the C line..
SIR is no longer under FRA regulations. Which is why they didn't have to go PTC. The R211S is a standard subway cars for all intensive purposes outside of Cab signaling and Standard ATC, Diming headlights and a active high speed mode that the mainline R211A don't have activated. SIR and KRC also had to make adjustments to dynamic regeneration braking profiles around the 100 Hz range being it cause EMI with the signaling one of the holdup's for the cars.
@@Golocorails What about? With no tunnel restrictions you can operate standard sized locomotives. SIR's BL's are just work service no HEP. SIR left FRA regulations in the late 80's early 90's. The B&O's legacy is still there. But the R211S class are bonafide subway cars.
@@Subways_io either ur just one of those other subway guys that think everything in nyc is a subway or u just think because a 14.2 eletricfied railroad with r44s is a subway
Man, those old R44s wobble like a drunken elephant. New cars are way overdue.
They're in much better condition than the R46's we have in the main subway.
@@jaydenphilbertmunipals9089 SIR does an admirable job of keeping cars and stations clean. Duct tape can only get you so far though!
Watch the Staten Island railroad have the CLEANEST R211 cars out of the whole system for a long while.
