- A jury may have acquitted O.J. Simpson in the 1994 murders of his ex-wife and her friend, but many people still believe he committed the crime. Almost 23 years after the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, the former football great's sister, Shirley Baker, told Inside Edition she doesn't believe her brother is guilty. "I know he did not kill Nicole and Ron," she said. She was there immediately following the murders when their mother asked Simpson point blank if he did it. #InsideEdition

When the sentence is pronounced, people in California don't know if the execution will take place or if it turns out to be just idle talk.
