    Guys this content is me having fun and hopefully you guys taking something away from it. The only real thing you should take from this is. I should go out and shoot something today!
    Remember to have fun and not be serious all the time!

  • @simpix7683

    Sam, when you shoot are you using the a74 focus area: "tracking" system? This should activate the Sony advanced AF Real Time tracking which is far better and 'stickier' than on the a7III. I've noticed that your screen shows a lot of small dancing squares which doesn't happen with Real Time tracking.
    With that method you get a small green box which locks on to your subject and follows your subject around without losing focus. This would happen if you are using, for example Fous Area:Wide and use touch to focus which is what you seem to do quite often.
    Your shots are great but you could maybe get a little more from the Sony focus system with Real Time Tracking.
    I hope you won't be offended by my comments and I hope you recover from today's moist conditions for another great POV tomorrow.

    Another great video bro, I ordered the sony a7iii today after watching yours, M.visual and the visual life videos. I was at the london walk the other month and got inspired to keep going with my photography.

    thanks for this content i want to ask u what is the best settings for street photography for the sony ? i mean the focus Spot (focus area mode)

    • @Opticalwander
      @Opticalwander  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly it depends on what you’re shooting. I use mostly wide focus mode and have it on afc but sometimes for panning shots etc I use single point focus in the middle. Not sure if this is helpful

    How do you keep the camera fairly dry? I always hate going out in weather like this 🌧️ as I am scared of getting my camera wet. And potentially damaging my camera and lenses. 📷

    love it mate. really interesting to see how quickly you spot potential compositions and scenes as they unfold - definitely got 'the eye'. what sort of cloth or wipe do you carry and use to keep the front lens element clear of drips and do you also use any filter?

    Great vid bro, place a focus mode under c3 works great. Whichever focus mode you're in, just quick recall focus C3(tracking) and you'll never miss the shot. I always use zone focus with tracking under C3. Love the daily content.

    street photography, and using manual seems rough. I am a big fan of aperture priority during street photography. I set my iso, and Fstop, and I'm good to go. Seems like so many shots get missed from the last video, and this video that could easily be hit using AP.

    I would say 10 mins is little CRITICAL for good shoot opportunity

    • @richardb7854
      @richardb7854 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      its a 10 minute challenge. you can do 5 minutes, 15, 25, 30 or an hour challenge if you want. the point is that you want to get at least a few good shots that you would only get if you were under a time constraint that made you pay attention to your surroundings more than normal. the shorter the time limit the more you are trying to find a composition and frame you are happy with in your immediate vicinity even if there is nothing all that "interesting" occurring.
      typically if you go out shooting with no limitations applied on yourself, you end up not taking a picture just because it doesn't feel perfect, or you over commit time to a hopeless shot, these time limits are just to force you away from yourself and to just take the picture and move on.

    Can I leave a dislike? Not to be destructive but to be honest, these types of challenges favour quantity above quality.i like your other videos so much more where you take your time to properly compose your shots. I find them much more interesting than these rushed ”shoot whatever you stumble onto” pics

    • @MarkusDoesThings
      @MarkusDoesThings 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do agree slightly but I find doing this really challenges me as a photographer to try to make the best of my area instead of spending time walking around to find the perfect shot

    • @Opticalwander
      @Opticalwander  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The point of these videos is to show you to go out and shoot. Too many people make excuses to not “shoot” so if I can take 20 good photos which all of them are in my opinion in 10 minutes then you or anyone else can go and do better than that. You’re welcome to your opinion and I’ll listen to it however I don’t agree with you.
