Vaccine Armours vs Vee Armours - BT-16 Matchplay Commentary

We are back with some more BT-16 Matchplay for you all. These matches were filmed at Dean's Dugout and features a good variety of decks. Today's feature puts TJ playing his Vaccine Armour build against Ryo piloting his own Vee Armours build. Interesting pseudo mirror match and puts two meta contending decks against each other!

I have been testing this format even before the release and Vee Armor has a really good match against vaccine, the st magna pretty much bounces everything before it evolves into magna X, and if the vaccine magna does not have the st rapidmon it will loose all the battles against the vee manga x because of the dp egg.

2 things for TJ. 1. This deck has a ton of triggers and little things you constantly have to keep in mind but you did a good job through the games and will get better with practice. 2. I need to know where you got those sleeves, they look too clean

Yeah normally I’m pretty good about remembering triggers but it was first game of the day so my brain was still booting up lol. As for the sleeves I got them at a local place in Japan I’ve never seen them available anywhere online, sorry Chief 😅

When Magnamon X digivolves it gets its “when digivolving” effect, but if something is removed from security in the same turn, it gets it again on the turn it was played?

Yes. The all turns affect that can trigger when a card is removed from security lets you trigger his when digivolving effect again

First game around 7:40 TJ wasn't able to do that second attack since he already activated Magna Xs effect

The all turns effect is a “you may” that can activate once per turn. I didn’t activate it til I swung and checked security with him, not sure if I misspoke or am missing something else. I don’t see me swinging another check after activating his effect around that timestamp, next time I unsuspend is when Ryo blinding rays during his turn when my effect is live again.

you haven't played against the real threat, numemon, magna X does nothing against monzae X evo combined with ruin mode or another monza x

The deck is so overhyped. Yes its a strong card but its so beatable. Just chill and learn the match up

The problem with vaccine armors is it relies heavily on patamon. If you don’t see patamon, you’re going to be really slow doing anything. You’re also relying on awakening to go into your magna x which isn’t very reliable either. And since everyone is playing dp reduction until the end of your opponent’s turn, you just lose your magna as soon as your turn starts. Also digimon emperor just shuts the deck down.

magna zZzzz I watch all his matches but the truth is watching Magna or Imperial play is as boring as watching Machindra... BT18 and they keep on the Top
