@@theminegirl3775 I'm from Brazil! At school we used to use water based gouache, extremely cheap, very non saturated ones. If you applied paint on top of each other they would mix and merge together and become muddy tones. The type of paint we are referring to here is professional gouache, the very opaque type that kinda looks like acrylic :)

I might try himi gouache paint when I have the budget for it since I’ve heard and seen good things about it!

Gouache is an amazing medium for beginners in my opinion, color pencils layer nicely over it and it’s super vibrant(I recommends HIMI)
