NO MOLDING on the truck. That thing would be a great candidate for a little bit of 80's pinstriping in the corners/centers of the hood and tailgate though.
@@HouseofPearlsI love first gen square body trim, not a fan of the later side trim. Those trucks look better without the moulding imho but it probably wouldn’t be scratched already if it had them. We used to use so much of that moulding Back in the day that we used to buy it in 100 foot rolls. Just bought the rear bed corner aluminum trim from GM because the stick on stuff would leave a gap underneath. Ahh memories lol.
Yep that’s exactly right. I also didn’t think about the door ding protection, although I wouldn’t think would do as much on a lifted truck like that unless it was dropped significantly lower. Which would also cover that scratch too probably lol. Although, to simply everything I believe the customer is deciding on no molding. Which was Jesse and Nikole’s opinion also. I kinda like the molding but could go either way. I think it’s beautiful without it too
You guys and gal's do really good work that 1/4 of inche is for the wiring that runs down the drivers side is what we were told when we did a 55 and a 57 chevy we did back when I worked in a body shop
Thank you! I appreciate the tip also. That could make sense, but the discrepancy of being too long and sitting low is on the passenger side. Additional the existing 1” lip and channel is plenty for the harness to run through or any wiring on either side. Either way, it’s even now! Probably was within factory tolerance before we put them even but we’re shooting for as close to perfect as possible.
@@HouseofPearls reap I knew you all do as close to perfect as possible that is the reason I love you all's videos it's so hard to find people that really cares about the work that you spend your hard earned money on paint and body work today but goodmark is the one who told us about the 1/4 inch but we cut and splist a piece to make it fit perfect to

Great job on all of those! On the Chevy, I’m a little more of a “purist” on the Square body. I do vote yes on the chrome molding! But, it’ll need a pin stripe to accent chrome molding on that solid color. The molding from the ‘88-‘91 Blazer/Suburban/Crew Cab, may b a better option? Also, paint the grille strip to match the color. I’m supposing, this is an ‘85-‘87????

It would be cool that when you put the complete floor in the 55.You raise it up an inch and a 1/2 or 2 inches. So the body is actually that much lower to the ground. You lose head room but
