Gouache Beaches with Tiffanie Mang

The first Plein Air demonstration at Moss Cove provides interesting shapes in the rocks, however the overcast weather presents a challenge. Learn how Tiffanie tackles the low contrast values presented to her on this overcast day by carving out graphic shapes with her 1 inch flat brush, and infusing subtle temperature shifts in the many neutral grays. Next, in a cliff view painting of Big Sur, Tiffanie tackles a high contrast view where she creates more excitement in the midground rocks by playing with colors in the shadows and the lights.
