I'm assuming she didn't say anything about it but you've also got to think that they need the bright light to show the complexion of her skin and proper colors of all her hair and eyes, if they didn't use the lights it would appear more yellow (the most common colors but of course there are other tones) and wouldn't show the Albinism traits
I wish I looked more comfortable in this interview. The lighting was too bright for my lightsensitive eyesight. Anyone would squint and feel discomfort if you were exposed to light that was far too bright for your eyes. On the other hand I do appreciate this opportunity given to me to share. Many, many thanks for all the positive comments. I hope the comments are helpful to people in more ways than you and I can imagine.
Cant help but feel a black background wouldve worked better... not only because of your eyes, but also because theres just not that much contrast... in some areas, you look a tiny bit like a disembodied dress. :P Still, cool talk! :)

I have perfect hearing and colour vision, and do not suffer from any heart or kidney problems. People who have albinism, or any condition, are all different. People are all different. And every single one of us is unique.

Every person with Albinism has the same color of eyelashes, hair, and skin. Either the same or just very light colored in case you thought she purposely colored her eyelashes.

I've always had a thing (not in a weird way) for albino's after seeing a docu on a semi famous asian albino in my country. I think they're one of the most beautiful type of creatures God has ever made. They were born looking like majestic ice queens. Yes, even the guys! There is just something so magical about it. They just stand out. They're so unique and fabulous.. I love that. The only bad part about it is that they usually can't see very well. That's obviously not nice for them. But other than that it's just pure perfection to me. (Just like natural gingers. Gosh, they are amazingly beautiful!)
Her hair and eyelashes are absolutely gorgeous! And the red pops so well with her skin and hair too, its a good shade for her. She just sounds so positive and full of joy, like she could read for audio books for a living. It sucks that they didn't dim the lights for her, They could have just done a darker background and they wouldn't have needed such bright lights to pick up on her hair. Whoever put someone with white hair on a white background needs to go back to school lol
A friend sent me this video since I'm albino as well, and honestly, I'm shocked, but really happy! I've seen other albinos irl before, but never another Asian. I'm awed and overjoyed at how secure she seems, and I hope I can one day feel the same. Ironically enough, I live in a mostly white area with little diversity where I am sometimes mocked for being TOO white. Cause tan is all the rage in America I suppose. Of course, people also aren't so kind about my Chinese heritage so I've just learned to keep walking and pretend I heard nothing. It's frustrating, but seeing another albino doing well gives me a lot of hope! ^^

Hollywood has created such negative perceptions of what albinisim is that people thought I have powers. Parents are afraid to let their children around me. It seems so silly that would happen in 2018 but it does all the time. People are afraid it's catching. All individuals with albinism have poor vision because albinism is actually a disease of the eye. They have underdeveloped foveas, which is the part of the retina responsible for central vision. There are people with ocular albinism who just have the eye disease; when it affects the skin and hair like this it's called oculocutaneous albinism, but if the eye is not affected than the person does not have albinism; they're just very fair.

In 6th grade I did a school project about albinism when I learned that there, apart from animals, are _people_ with albinism. I never endorsed a school project this much in my life and I still have this fascination with people with albinism. They are just so... special and unique, nothing compares to them, and they can come from every backround, every race and skin color. It's a shame that these people are still exposed to disrespect and hatred in many parts of the world. Thank you a lot for this video!
