The fact they adjusted the little girls bike for her to ride with the family. The fact they use a whistle to help the kids without great vision. The fact they care enough to put sunscreen on the children to ensure they don't get long term consequences of the sun exposure. The fact they took on the challenge of raising multiple children with sight issues. The fact they decided to take in so many children in general. This couple is absolutely amazing and truly benevolent. They smiled the whole time and gave off the best energy throughout their video. I hope they all live happy and healthy lives. 💕💕💕

I grew up in Uganda, we treat our albino people differently. I just think it's bad to put these people in society and give them false hope about living a normal life. In Uganda these people are hunted down and their body parts are sold to make folk medicine. Each culture is different and I do not like to see these people at all. They scare me.

As someone who uses a wheelchair and dresses in full Muslim garb, face veil and head veil included. I get lots of stares, whispers, and questions. The whispers are the worst.
I love when a kid asks their parent a question and the parent responds to the child in a regular tone at a regular volume to try to get me in the conversation. It makes me feel more human and it teaches the child just to ask questions. Questions are better than stares.

@@marychristelleThat’s the thing, children are naturally curious and have a more happy outlook on life than adults or even teens, if you notice a child that’s not reaching normal milestones for their age or has a behavior that is questionable, you DO have to pay attention to that and seek help for them. It is not a “problem” to be or feel different, but it kind of is if we’re realistically speaking. No one wants their child to be depressed or to suffer from a disorder in silence, it does affect your mental health a lot even as an adult and being a child, there are not enough tools you can find to get out of “that hole” on your own, which can affect other aspects of your life and development. She might need something different for her, since all people have different needs. Just their parents are too focused on the albino children’s needs. That’s why the original comment mentioned they hope they are paying attention to her, since she seems to have a different attitude even while being part of the same household - this usually indicates something deeper. It’s not that you’re weird because you’re different, it’s that your difference could mean something that you need help with and needs to be addressed, not ignored just because “some people are like that”.

    • @phe.mp3
      @phe.mp3 ปีที่แล้ว +25

@@scaryysharkk Vision problems are actually a pretty key feature of albinism! Melanin plays a role in the development of your eyes and how they function, so people born with little or no melanin like those with albinism generally have visual impairment. I’m not an expert, but I’d assume from what I’ve read that nearly all people with albinism have vision problems with varying degrees of severity.

I actually worked with one of these girls in China, spending a few days a week with her at her foster home or taking her on different outings. She would often spend all day Sunday with me. It was heartbreaking because whenever she was with me (a white woman) people would assume she was white and would go on and on about how gorgeous she was - they'd want to touch her hair, take her hand and walk with her, take pictures with her. But when she went out with her (Chinese) foster mom, they'd say how ugly she was, ask why the mom would keep her (they didn't realize she had actually been abandoned and the woman wasn't her real mom) and other hurtful things. It was literally the same child and she was actually beautiful, but their perception of her was radically different based on whether they thought she was white or Chinese. Unfortunately, like many cultures, they view people with albinism as being demons or bringing bad luck or some other nonsense. I was so happy for her when she was adopted into this family, where she could leave all of that behind.

I was adopted, 1 of 7 children, even though it was really nice taking in that many kids- we suffered alot because our parents didn't have alot of money. So I always had old, bad clothing and the food was always expired so we were often sick. I hope these kids have enough resources with her not working and him being an insurance agent.

I noticed the four albino children spoke throughout the video and their sister with no albinism did not even say a single at all. I don't think it was nervousness.

I don't have Albinism but I'm fair skinned with strawberry blonde hair, and get migraines and now I developed a fear of bright lights or chrome or reflections of light and it's awful. It's not fun. I really need some super dark sunglasses, especially when driving or outside.

3 of my brothers are legally blind due to a rare genetic disorder. It onset at different ages for all of them. They do use magnifiers and CCTVs. They cannot drive so yes, that does make things more difficult. The best thing is to make real friends and family who don’t mind driving and/or live close to public transportation. Having any type of disability does make you more vulnerable unfortunately. That’s just reality. I’m guessing that these children might need Orientation & Mobility training in the future if they haven’t already had it. Depends on each one’s actual vision abilities. My brothers all love to cook and are great chefs. It was good seeing the bike riding because it’s so important to cultivate interests and do whatever you can do in the safest way possible while acknowledging limitations.

Apart from their disability, I have to say that they're really beautiful. I think people with albinism are just like porcelain dolls. They're so pretty ... but I know that they have to be careful x-x I wish all of them a happy life.

  • @DieAlteistwiederda

I had a classmate growing up with one of the less severe forms of albinism so sein the very pinky pale skin and the almost white hair isn't that strange to me. It was just normal because we grew up together from daycare age. She had a fair bit more pigment than these kids but still burned a lot easier than even a normal very pale person like me.

  • @neslihangokcen5270

I do not know why but I feel that the child without albinism is not happy 😢 She must think she's being ostracized from her siblings. I hope she find happiness 🙏 I hope all these children are safe and healthy🍀

This family will probably never see this. But maybe someone else will.
I have albinism. Grew up knowing I would never have a license. But I still live a full life with a full time job. I have worked as part of a hot air balloon chase crew, cashier, bartender, IT specialist, along with a random assortment of other positions. Uber and busses are generally very useful to use depending on where you live. And I also can get rides from my roommates and a couple other friends if I really need help.
The sun is definitely the enemy. But sunglasses and hats are perfectly useable.
Glasses really do very little for me. They basically make things slightly less blurry. Which isn’t worth the hassle. I don’t know about these kids. But that over saturated camera from the bike ride gets the point accross on how sensitive my eyes are. But it is a bit exaggerated.
If the parents do see this. Smart phones are your friends for these kids. I use mine every single day with the camera to read small print menus, menu boards, or even just to watch the football game when I’m at the bar with friends. It just makes far more sense to use something I already carry around than to carry 3 or 4 other tools at the same time like I did growing up in the early 2000’s.
Technology truly is the life savor for disability’s like ours. It helps equalize things so much compared to even 20 years ago.

Mom, Dad, you’re wonderful parents. I’m married to an albino and I understand the struggles with vision and sun exposure. As a side note I lost a son who was not wearing a helmet when he was hit by a car on his bicycle. Your kids are wearing helmets. Outstanding! But you both need to be wearing helmets, too. You need to lead by example not by “do as I tell you, not what I do…”. God bless you and your beautiful family!❤❤❤❤❤
